" I have had this for a while and I have been wanting to get this x-wing for a long before. I still can't believe they are selling the same set released from 2006 and have not replaced it with a newer version. However, they have updated this set to have new parts replacing older parts; I am not so pleased with them replacing the older lightsaber hilt. It's still a good set nonetheless-definitely my favourite-and I would recomment it to any Star Wars or Lego fan alike.
The minifigures have been quite outdated in a newer generation where most minifigures from licensed themes have extraordinary amounts of detail. For that reason, these figures are hard to find. Wedge Antilles is still exclusive to the set and he has perhaps the best rebel details. To note upon, Han Solo now has the newer face and Luke now has the chrome lightsaber hilt as opposed to the silver one. This is actually my first Chewbacca and Leia and I am quite glad that I finally got those two. Luke is a great figure as well. Although these figures are no longer as detailed as the figures today, they are still good to have and get the classic crew.
Overall, the model is much sturdier than many other starfighters nowadays. To note upon, newer technic pieces have replaced to older kind. As for the play features, the s-foils open nicely and so does the cockpit. The storage compartment however doesn't. You may experience the engines and wings to be quite fragile when you first play with it but it becomes less of a problem as time passes. When flying it around, the nose is fastly secured to the body of the starfighter. Definitely a strong design and everything stays together, even artoo in the ship.
This ship has a good blend of colours and works to scale with the minifigures. You get a few printed pieces that makes the ship as more realistic to the movies as can get. Fairly big and very eye-catchy.
The pricing for this set is quite expensive but compared to the ARC-170 and T-6, it succeeds by sheer piece count. If you own the previous X-Wing with Yoda's hut, this version may be useless to you bearing many of the same resemblences. After all, it is well worth it to simply own the famous X-Wing Starfighter as opposed to random starfighters seen in The Clone Wars. "

" Those who have watched POTC: Dead Man's Chest won't forget the hilarious escape from the island Pelegostos and this set well represents it.
It has a lot of minor details in the scene such as Cotton's parrot and the snakes. The scene is well decorated with vegetation and skulls; when finished, the set looks spectacular as a whole. I especially enjoy how the design of the bone cage. The build is rather interesting with the bone cage and maybe a bit frustrating for some. 1 thing I also like about the POTC sets are the accesories such as the rum bottle and Cotton's parrot.
The minifigures are truly outstanding. You get the iconic Jack Sparrow this time with the wicked face paintings. Will Turner well represents himself played by Orlando Bloom with the sideburns, hair, and moustache. The cannibals are simple epic and have a lot of detail. The figures are so good in this set, with three of them exclusive, the purchase is well worth it.
Everything in this set is there to love and there's alot included for the $40 CAD price tag. Kids will love it for the play features and POTC fans simply can't resist what is included. It's cheap compared to other sets and it has a lot of stuff to enjoy. 10/10 "

" I haven't boughten a technic figure ever since the ending of bionicle but now that I bought one the theme has seemed to improve. It has taken a more robotic like shape and the structure from the satrs to this does semm to have improve. The chest armor now has expanded over more as well as the leg armor. The figures look better than ever. Breez's colour truly stands out. If you have been a fan of Bionicle before, you won't be disappointed with these new sets "

" The Fountain of Youth is a great set to get after you watch the latest Pirates movie. Although I would say Isla de Muerta is the best set to start off a collection, but if you are looking for a set after watching the new movie, this is the set to go.
Minifigures:
The minifigures are simply fantastic with their awesome detail. You get the iconic Jack Sparrow, a minifigure that you should not escape. New faces include Blackbeard and Barbosa as a privateer. Barbosa looks just like he does in the movie and his torso is useful for British lieutenants. Blackbeard is simply amazing and definitely one of my favourites.
The Set:
The set didn't represent the scene too well but it still makes beautiful Lego scenery. The Mao Kun map wasn't there but a thing they did get right are the chalices. Nevertheless, great accesories and set.
The Price:
A bit overpriced but the set is still worth the money you are paying for it. Otherwise get Isla de Muerta as it has better value.

" Isle de Muerta is an absolutely golden set filled with awesome accesories and figures. You are getting the money's worth and this is the one pirates set you cannot skip.
The detail on the new figures is absolutely outstanding. You get the ever popular Jack Sparrow, this time with a skull face. You also get Elizabeth Swann and the Hector Barbosa. These figures just have so much detail and they come with awesome accesories. They are currently exclusive to the set making it worthwhile.
The rest of the set also has its advantages. You get an awesome rowboat and a chest of the "Aztec gold." Yes, there's plenty of gold pieces lying around. Even more, you get an awesome poster and the poster is surprisingly big.
If you were to start collecting from POTC, this is the first set I would start out with. Not only does it have exclusive figures, it also pretty fun and it is the only LEGO set existing for the first POTC movie..

" If you see this set at stores, get it right away. This set is incredibly hard to find because it is rarely restocked and it sells out incredibly fast. You'll be lucky enough to simply find it at a stores.
As for the set itself, pretty much everything is here for a Lego star wars collector. It includes the classic character group of Luke, Obi-Wan, threepio and artoo. The collectors will also go crazy over for the Sandtrooper in which this version is exclusive to this set.
As for the landspeeder, it is iconic to the movies and a good addition to a star wars collection. However, the set doesn't have so much in terms of playability or size. It's easily outsized by other sets of the same price such as the Droid Tri-Fighter. But that doesn't mean it isn't worth the money. This seems to be the cheapest set to get the minifigures because other sets with these minifigures are far too expensive to get right off the bat. Trust me, it is really expensive to collect a lot of rare star wars figures.

" The ostrich race is a wonderful addition to any collection mainly.
Pros:
To start it off it is the only set to contain ostriches and these ostriches are very nice lego animals to have in your collection. The minifigures are quite detailed and I enjoy all of them-especially Dastan. The minifigures are also exclusive to the set. The rest of the set itself is quite detailed and well constructed. No part of this set is fragile.
Cons:
I really dislike the $27 CAD price tag and this set shouldn't be priced this high-which is the reason I purchased it on sale. Although the figs are quite cool and all, they aren't as cool as the new figures from Pirates of the Carribean(then again you're probably getting this for the ostriches). I also preferred if the gates can fully open to right angles instead of being partially opened.
Whether you are an avid Disney movie fan or a collector, this set should have something you would like to have in your collection. It's a great choice. "

" This is honestly a very good set for 80 dollars. The ship itself appears quite big compared to my ARC-170. My favourite part of the ship is the cockpit because it looks like the Millenium Falcon's cockpit and when it detaches it works very well as a escape pod. The landing gear is kind of disappointing because the ship can still tip easily. The back side of the wing doesn't look so good and when in flight mode, the ship is far from symetrical. Besides the ship, Shaak Ti and Saeee Tiin are amazing figures and they also appeared in the movies as well.
Pros:
cockpit
Shaak Ti
Saesee Tiin
ship's overall size
Cons:
the ship tips often because of the landing gear
kind of expensive
ship is far from symetrical when in flight mode
some boring old figures that have not been redisgned yet
Overall this is a good set to buy if you are a Clone Wars or prequel trilogy fan. This set is not so good if you are an Original Trilogy fan. 8/10.

" I found this book at the book store and it's amzing as I can look over ever single set in the past years in jusyt one book. It has a lot of imformation in it and I always find it very fun to read. What I like best about the book is the Luke Skywalker minifigure, very classic and I doubt it will ever appear in another. This is actually my first Luke Skywalker. It is really worth the 25 dollars you pay for it. Get this book if it includes Luke. If not, don't buy it. "

" The magnets are absolutely unnecessary as it raises just raises the price. Almost all the people who buy these just want the figures and if people want the magnets, they would buy them separately. That's why they sell should the magnets and figures separately.
Pros:
Anakin
Ahsoka
Senate Commando
Cons:
magnets
way too overpriced
Magnet sets are really only there for those who don't choose to buy the expensive sets or keychains. If you want the figures, keychains or the actual sets would be a much better buy. "
