" As so many before me, I was a lego fanatic as a child. When the teens attacked me from behind, such childish things had to go. Now, all grown up, I have some problems with depression and needed something to occupy my mind. I found out that I still loved lego and this is my second set this far. It was a blast to build and it is beautifully. I draged it out over a couple of days to make it last. It wasn't difficult to build, just need to take the time.
Everything in the model is so cozy and nice. It sooths my mind and keeps the depression at bay. I'm definitely going to keep using this medicine and plan to buy all the modular models when I can afford it. . This models is so detailed and nice that I actually fantasize that I live there when the daylie life gets tough. I sure can recomend this model, and lego generally, if you need something to take the edge of a hard life. The minifigs becomes your friends :) "

" Don't listen to the bad reviews. I almost did, then decided that the design elements looked fun. I am glad that I bought it. This set is beautiful, and was super fun to build! I've built the Parisian Restaurant (which interlocks with this set), as well as the Grand Emporium (which does not, since it's so massive!), and I can say that this set is just as much fun to build as those were.
Buy the set, build it. You won't regret it! "

It is great to see your LEGO modular city is coming together!

I saw that you mentioned you could not connect this with your Grand Emporium and wanted to see what was preventing this from happening. All of the modular buildings are designed to be connected any way you want so perhaps you are waiting for a more aesthetically pleasing placement I understand. If your sets are just not able to be connected than please call our wonderful Consumer Services advisors and they will happily figure out what went wrong.

I am glad you gave it a chance and that you are please with the results!

" My mother and I have randomly wandered into a Lego store and picked up this set with help from the store manager. We selected this product for its variety of stores and colors. This was my first set of legos ever, and it sat off my journey as a legos fan with a fantastic experience. (I barely got to play with legos as a child) My mother and I worked together and had a wonderful experience building this set.
The finished structure looks great, the interior details and the design booklet completely blew my mind. I think most of my challenges came from not being able to find the right piece or loosing bricks (HAHA I'm not very organized..)
I personally had a great experience building this set. Collecting and putting together coherent bricks has been extremely relaxing and therapeutic.
Thank you for making my first experience with lego awesome! "

" There are many words I would use to describe this set,but the one that does it the best justice is AWESOME. The first story is great ,the pool hall is amazing and the detail on the pool table,cue rack,and gold trophy is probably the best I have ever seen. The barber shop has cool features also,like secret passages, and the checkered floor. The second story is not boring at all. The detectives office is PACKED with surprises including a big desk and a file cabinet. The second story even has a nice bathroom. The third and final story has a small but detailed bakery were they make illegal cookies. The roof has a water tower and sky light for the detectives office. Lego has out done them selves,and I would definitely recommend buying this set. You will not be disappointed. "
