" I was hoping the 10th anniversary set would be a definitive, landmark type of building. While I do appreciate Lego continuing the modular series, they continue to issue buildings that are more in line with building a mini-mall than building a city. As an adult builder, I've been able to source additional buildings to add to my 'city' from other sources that are aimed more at a true adult builder.
Again, thanks to Lego. But, to the designer, 'grow up'.

" They should have done more to 'tweak' small things in the design. Biggest change is the price increase. Reissuing sets is, however, a good idea. This is a classic set and a great display piece. Maybe reissue the Corner Cafe?

" Well, I'm sure most fans of this series welcome another large piece count set. The build was easy enough. But, I can't get past how the dome looks. It looks like something from the Ottoman Empire that belongs on a building in Ankara. Over all, I like this set. But the dome? Yuck.

" This and the US Capitol are vast improvements over some of the recent sets in this series. Straight forward, fun build that results in a nice display piece. The architecture line is a Lego winner! I own all of the sets in this series and look forward to more releases.

" Wow. What a build and what a display. Fun, non-repetitive build that accurately represents the real building in a grand manner. Adult build in its scale and complexity and obviously a fun play factor for children.
For those who don't know the meaning of the word 'awesome', well, this set represents what 'awesome' is supposed to mean.

" I started collecting/building Lego about four years ago. There was a backlog of sets that were truly adult oriented sets. The original VW, Taj Majal, Eiffel Tower, Tower Bridge, Sure, some were retired and I had to pay big bucks for them. But it was worth it as they were really adult oriented. Over the last few years, its become more difficult to find a sent for an adult. Friends? No way. City? Nope. Modular buildings, used to be but no longer. So, thanks to Lego for releasing a set that an adult can build without his maturity level being called into question. Sure, AFOLs get a lot of sets, assuming the 'A' stands for adolescent.
But, adults get few sets. And I understand why. Lego is a toy company and adult builders aren't their target market. When an adult set comes along like this one, well, is over due and welcome.
Positives? Big piece count, great detail, accurate representation of the actual building. Appropriate adult display piece.
Negatives? Lots and lots of small pieces. Probably necessary to achieve the great detail, but still some small pieces could have been replaced by one larger piece. Also, by the very nature of the subject matter the build was extremely repetitive. But, don't complain about it. Its just the nature of the subject matter.

When completed, the final product doesn't have the impact of the Eiffel Tower, the Tower Bridge or the TM. Still, its nice.
Oh, by the way, if you only build the first three bags and stop, you have the makings of what looks like an American budget motel. Just saying.
Thanks for an adult set. Wish it was larger and had a bigger foot print, but still, its nice.

" Well, for starters, I'm giving this five stars because I bought it, assembled it and feel it's a five star set. Besides, some of my three star reviews seem to disappear after being posted. Funny, but if I go to a Lego store at the mall, see a set, touch a set and decide it doesn't merit a $300+ expenditure.....I can't review the set and expect the review to survive, No problem here. Bought this one and assembled it. Excellent city scape. I look forward to this 'theme within a theme' and for more city scapes to come. Please consider some other cities noted for their importance. Like Meridian, MS or Accra, Ghana. Thanks!

" To me, these 'cityscapes' are almost a sub theme of the archetecture product line. While no one building in these cityscapes has a detailed build, the product as a whole gives one a nice, accurate representation of the city's most famous landmarks. Easy build, nice display piece along with the other cityscape sets.
