"A nice little build, this santa model is super cute! Cartoonish in a way that LEGO rarely does but it really works. I love the beard detail and asymmetrical cap. Good posable arms."

"An incredible amount of detail in this set. Ignoring the weird bootlegging-cookies theme, there’s a lot of really nice design elements here. Pool hall with table, darts board and sturdy overhead fan (much more sturdy than the chandelier in the shop modular). Nice rounded facade. Lots of hidden passages.
Nary a sticker in the set (since that’s something people care about I guess?) — a *lot* of nice printed tiles for wanted posters, newspapers, maps, letters, dartboard, paintings, cookies, window signs, etc.
New pieces (or at least pieces I haven’t seen before) — an L-shaped 2x2 but flat, an odd 4x4 L-shape piece, 1x1 round bits with a hole through the center. They finally made a 1x4x2 fence with all 4 studs on top, which I have always wanted.
Set is pre-sorted into 4 sections. (Searching for the right piece is half the fun for me so I mixed them all from the start, but the option is there.)
Minor gripes: When I first saw this set, I was hoping for two split buildings like the modular pet store for more flexibility in arranging my modular town, but after building it I realize the why it’s all one piece. The two different shades of blue are hard to tell apart from the instructions but have a nice effect over all. Light and dark grey are also confusing (as they have been for years).
Overall, the town modular theme continues to impress."

"I own a bunch of the UCS lego sets, and I am super happy with this purchase.
You build the first layer and you are slightly disappointed with the level of detail... and then you continue building and realize that the first level was so utterly insignificant in the grand scheme of the model that it doesn't matter. There is literally every deathstar scene from the original trilogy built into this model. It is amazing.
As with almost every lego model ever produced, I would like to urge lego to better disambiguate the white-lightgrey-darkgrey-black colours in the instructions."

"I own many of the Ultimate Collector Series SW lego sets, and this kind of seems the weakest of the bunch. Don't get me wrong -- it's a neat and very accurate model but the build was rather symmetrical and repetitive but seems over priced for what it is.
The pieces are bagged by stages (1-10) which is really nice if you're into that but I personally think that searching for that piece is half the fun of assembly.
