"This set made me get into chess and now I play on it every day! The set overall is a win. Not only do you get an excellent parts to price ratio but also a very classy looking chess set complete with functionality and storage. I prefer the classicness of this over the previous minifig heavy chess sets which had zero appeal to me."
I would recommend this to a friend!

"I recently bought this set and is my second modular building after The Palace Cinema and it exceeded my expectations in every way! The amount of detail both inside and out is AMAZING! The best part about the building is that you get basically five different rooms to explore each filled with lots of surprises and again lots of detail. The biggest room is the pool room which is situated on the ground floor and is also the first room you build. As I reached building the pool table I had to stop for few minutes and just appreciate the beauty and the techniques used to build it along with the decorations such as a trophy, a picture frame and a very nice printed dart board and a movable ceiling fan which actually spins as well. All of this was simply a priceless moment for me. The second room is the barber shop and perhaps the best part about it is it has an actual true reflection mirror and not some sticker. Both the barber shop and the pool room have tiled floors which is also a very nice touch. Finally on the upper floor we have The Detective's Office which is the second biggest room and also my favourite one. The detective has an actual tiny magnifying glass which just shows the level of detail LEGO really goes to. Other features include a safe which has money and a briefcase containing important evidence, a desk fan, a desk lamp, a map, a wanted poster, different cabinets containing letters inside and a secret wall frame which has a love letter hidden in the wall. There is an old pull chain style bathroom as well on this floor complete with a toilet paper roll and a tiny sink. Now since its a prohibition era there has been illegal smuggling of candy going on throughout the building, on the third floor there's a kitchen where all the candy is being made. There's an accessible roof which has a skylight looking straight into the detective's office who's trying really hard to solve the mystery. A brilliantly designed water tank and a cat is also placed on the roof. The candy is smuggled through a hidden backdoor of the barber shop and transferred through a hidden channel into the pool room. I had so much fun building this set and would definitely recommend anyone to get it as it is really worth every penny!"
