After the New York set, my second Skyline. This was definitely a more enjoyable and diverse build. First of all it was nice that the bags were numbered again and second, this is was more varied built but all sorts of fun little details. The only point of critique is that some of the instructions were a bit difficult to read (dark green bricks and black paper isn't a good match). Other than that this is a great, fun build. Highly recommened!
"If I can't go to New York, I'll make New York come to me", was my thought when I ordered this set.
After the 1989 Batmobile this was my second Lego Set I build during the lockdown. To compare the two would be somewhat of a disservice to this set, obviously this was gonna be an easier and quicker build. Luckily it was still an enjoyable build. The fact that four of the five landmarks are buildings makes it a bit repetitive and I agree with the criticism of The Statue of Liberty. The inclusion of one of NY's iconic bridges could've made this set a bit more varied. Still, overall I had a great time building this set and I definitely recommend it.
To not spend all my time watching Netflix during this lockdown I decided to try my hand at building a Lego set.
The 1989 Batman film is one of my all time favorite films and I've always loved the Batmobile featured in the film. So this seemed like the right set for me.
This was probably the first time since childhood that I "played" with Lego again. Luckily it's just like riding a bike...
This set was a fun build, challenging enough for this novice Lego builder but not too difficult. It also took me several evenings spread out over three weeks to complete the build, so you definitely get your money's worth.
Considering we'll probably be in lockdown for some more time, I expect this will be the first of more Lego sets
