Most beautiful LEGO 911 so far
This set is the most realistic looking 911 so far! Immediately recognized as 70s/80s model. I built it with my son of 10 yrs, it was a fun and not too complicated experience, but that didn't take away the fun IMHO.
Has several interesting building techniques: notably the back fenders connections, chair tilt system and the basis for the back pillars around the back bench, that eventually leads to that beautiful flowing line from the roof to the back of the car.
A few small critique points:
1. Black background in the building instructions: need to look twice to find the highlighted bricks in the next building step.
2. With a few (maybe 5 to 10) extra bricks this would have been a 4-in-1 set: build the 911 SC base coupe or the very rare 911 Turbo Targa! Guess I'm gonna get them from my kids' bricks!
