The legendary words of John Hammond! Those go hand in hand with this awesome lego set. As a die-hard Jurassic Park fan, I just had to have this set. I couldn't buy it straight away, because the price is up there. But it is absolutely worth it!
This set takes you back to the 1993 movie and made me want to see it again straight away. It's a big set, with quite a bit of building time. But that's one of the things I'm looking for in a Lego set. The T-Rex is great to put together, quite big and an absolute eye catcher. The connection between the head and the neck, should have been better. It's connected with just one turning piece. Which makes the head moveable, but you can only have it in one position, for it not to fall down. That's kind of a shame and I think not necessary. Because the tail is build with the same connection type, and there it works perfectly. But that doesn't take anything away from the impressive end result for me. The same goes for the legs. During the built it feels a bit unstable. Like it doesn't going to hold up. But when the T-Rex is finished and stands on both feet. It's steady as a rock.
De gate was also super fun to build. With on the back different scenes from the movie. Which is very well thought out. The gates also open and close with a turning mechanisme. Which they made super fun and it also looks good. It's kind of too bad, you can not see all the fun stuff happening in the back. When you have it on a shelf or something. But other than that, it's awesome.
I do miss Tim and Lex not being in this set. They where iconic and big characters in the movie. And it's weird that they are not in this set. That would really make this set complete.
I definitely recommend this set. Especially when you are a Jurassic Park fan! It's an absolute eye catcher when you put in on a shelf or something. But it's also fun for kids to play with. By the way, this is also a great set to built with your kids!
