AWESOME
A great build yielding a great display piece, which for the most part (see other reviews) runs very nicely on track. As has been said, the contrast in the manual is a little bit annoying, but otherwise the build was great.
The pantographs are very nicely executed. The usage of hot dogs as hoses is very clever. There's plenty of detail in the model. To me, the best feature is the nearly studless design.
In my opinion, the biggest downside is that fitting lights such as 88005 will be a challenge, although not impossible with some serious modification. Also, a great deal of play value could be added with working doors, which I'm sure some great builder will solve.
Overal I think Lego has struck gold with this one, hopefully resulting in a new series of expert rail sets. I can only imagine what Lego could unleash by having a go at some fitting rolling stock..
