Impressed
" After building the Bugatti and other Technic sets, for whatever biased reason, I assumed this Rover wouldn't be a very fun experience. Fortunately, I was wrong and it's actually turned out to be really great! The transfer case, third diff, new clutch gear, and stacked design of the transmission are great highlights. The body is also great, making the Rover much closer to a polished Creator Expert set than most large Technic sets. My gripes continue to be the use of ugly blue connectors.. why oh why can't black axle/pin connectors be created? Color-coordinated or body-matched inserts would be super! I'm also not a fan of the "Nano-Engine" but at this price point, can't complain too much about it. In all, I highly recommend this set. It's fun, and a great learning experience for kids and adults alike! "

Good, not great
" I use a lot of LEGO Education products for my classes and I like them a lot. Spike Prime is Good. It's expensive. Pretty colors. It's nice to use Scratch for robotics, but honestly we've been doing that for years on our own. One of the things that really bothers me is that the cables are hard wired into the sensors and motors, instead of having connectors. Kids are rough, these are going to break, and I'll have to buy the whole motor or sensor when that happens. And the battery... no more rechargeable AA's, so when it stops holding a charge, we'll have to buy a whole new one from them. The software is very buggy and loses connection often; I expect that will be fixed over time. "
