Minifig scale, would fit well in a City layout
" At first glance, I was not going to buy this set, just another excavator, but on closer inspection, noted that it was possibly minifig scale. The set was a fun build, not too complicated, but with plenty of Technic features. On completion, I did note that the cab was minifig scale, some small modifications and I was able to put a minifig in the cab. This adds to the playability in my opinion, maybe the designers could have considered this when designing the model. The completed model fits well in a city layout, this adds to the versatility of the model. It is not just a Technic model for display.

Disappointed, room for improvement
" I am an experienced Technic builder, having built and modified Technic sets since the 1980's, although I am not your average target audience, being an older female Technic fan.
Overall, this set took me about an hour to build.
I was disappointed in the build.
Some of the instructions were confusing. At times it was hard to see where the pieces went (and this is from an experienced builder)
There are a couple of small additions I think would have added to the aesthetics. There is room to put a drivers seat and a steering wheel to make the truck look like a truck, even though the steering wheel would only be for looks and not actually work.
Play value wise, I think this set would have benefitted from a ramp so that you could make the truck tackle obstacles.
I would still recommend it for a friend, but think the set could have been better for only a couple of dollars more. "

Glued together - worst decision ever
" I used to buy lots of these magnets to give to friends as gifts. Children loved them as the figures were detachable from the magnets and could be easily incorporated into their Lego collections. As glued together fridge magnets they are totally worthless. I will not be buying anymore unless Lego reverse the decision and go back to the original and make them detachable again. Worst decision ever in my opinion.

Lego magnets - no longer worth buying
" As all the other reviewers have written, magnets with minifigs are now a total waste of money. I used to buy lots, they were an excellent gift and also had excellent playability with the figures being able to be removed from the magnets. Just as fridge magnets, with the minifigures glued on, they are not worth the money, no playability.
I won't be buying any more magnets until the silly idea of having the figures glued on is reversed. "

Glued - not impressed at all!!!!
" Very unimpressed, to unwrap these magnets and find they were glued together.
It would have been a terrific set if the figures were not glued onto the bases.

Awesome fun
" Awesome set!!!
Quick to build, easy to use, and FUN!!!
For a small to medium size RC car, it is excellent, moves quickly and steering is good for such a small vehicle.
Comes with instructions to build three different models, but plenty of scope to build your own creation on the chassis.
Definitely recommend, will now have to buy the other RC set. "
