Colorful and Exciting
" I love this set. It is so fun and detailed, bringing a great amount of colors, wonderful buildings and techniques used, and excitement whenever I look at it. I thoroughly enjoyed the build, and I am very happy with the standard no-stickers within the architecture line. Though pagoda and gate behind the two cherry blossom trees are not named, I feel they add more detail and interest than trying to make them fully-fledged; they add to the display without taking away from the other pieces. The set is fun to look at I feel (though I have never been to Tokyo, and may be speaking out of turn) that the set is very representative of Tokyo. "

Not for Play, but Wonderful for Display
" Lego San Francisco isn't made for play, but for a display piece, it is splendid. The building are all well designed, the streets going between them are wonderful (along with pieces for the trolleys going down the hill!), and the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz island is so cool to see going across the beautiful water bricks. Love this set. "

Legacy is Flying High
" Jay's Storm Fighter is just a great build. It really is a great legacy set and takes the original set back from 2012 and just makes it so much better. The mechanism that moves the wings is both unique and has always worked without issue for me. Though not a lot of figures, they high quality and tasteful, and the addition of the Nunchucks is a great throwback to the early days of ninjago. "

The Best Bounty?
" Since the beginning, the Destiny's Bounty captured my interest with its design and features. This is my favorite Bounty of the ones I have had (all excluding the Movie Bounty). This has an excellent brick-built hull, which has been built up more-so than the traditional first two Bountys and allows for an interior. The interior space is nothing to boast about, but it has some clips on the interior and space for at least four minifigures. The anchors are a great brick-built design, able to lower a good ways below the hull with chains that store on the deck relatively unobtrusively. The figurehead is also brick-build, and feels very complete and sturdy. The ram on the front is small and simple, but a nice addition and throwback to what we all knew the Destiny's Bounty to be. Deck space is pretty good, even with two sections and a cannon occupying the center of one of them, and the mechanism for the sails in the other. The sails are made of the great tough-cloth material, and the frame holding them on is very well constructed (and hidden, even in flight mode!), and extends and retracts nicely, while also holding its place in the extended flight mode. The rear structure is nicely constructed, utilizing the roof section for a weapons rack, and when removed, the walls fold out into a dojo-esq area, with some scrolls and weapon racks as well. The interior space on the rear is nothing to brag about, but does not cause an issue when it is in place on the ship, as the figures and space inside is well hidden! The rudder on the ship is small and on a ball joint, but overall does a good job at doing what it needs to. The Side of the hull has the gun ports built into it, and although they don't open, they make a good design. And finally: the flying mechanism. Always abscent from the Bounty line, the Legacy Bounty finally gives it the addition it has always needed. A simple design, by rotating either of the fins on the back, the front jets pop out, giving a great look to the bounty which has previously looked lopsided with where the engines have been. This mechanism always works smoothly for me, and is very fun to utilize in play or display. Overall, the Destiny's Bounty might be a throwback, but is one of the best designs for a Bounty we have ever seen, with plenty of fun features used in the construction, as well as the final build. "

A Decent Change of Pace
" I like the change of pace from the typical ship Destiny's Bounty. The set itself has good play value, like the detailed interior and a decent amount of deck space, as well as wheels that turn with a very well integrated turning mechanism on the rear of the build. However, the detachable ship is just really weird, as the flaps (which are weirdly not connected and have no studs on top, which means there is so little usable deck space up there) won't close fully with mini figures inside, the sail is mounted so far back so that when the little flying thing is detached, it looks completely out-of-whack. The movable engines are cool, but serve no specific function aside from having something MOVE, and having a wheel on top, a pilots house in the flying build AND the main body of the build makes things confusing: what do they all do? There are pros and cons, without a doubt. I modified mine pretty extensively after getting it, particularly with the flying build, but it may not be as desirable if you just want to build and go and not worry about it. "

The great you've already heard is all true
" You've probably read through reviews already that highlight just how great Pirates of Barracuda Bay is, so I'll make mine short and try to highlight some other aspects as well. What you've heard is true, all the way; the set is detailed and intricate, the island doesn't become an afterthought once the ship has been converted, but rather an amazing build on its own, with the ship being a beautiful build as well, the amount of things you can change and play with is simply exceptional with the various figures and the cargo crates, bottles, and so many more accessories. The bottom line for me? The set is fun and incredibly interesting, as it can be a play set or a display set, allowing you to modify all that you have. It's not a static set by any means. The final little bit that I like? The spare pieces themselves are a treasure unto themselves. Truly an exceptional creation by the Lego Ideas theme, once that the fan designer and Lego designers made into something great. "

A Good Little Model to Have
" I like the design, I like the color scheme going with the carbon-fiber series of Senna. The Active wing is fun to pose, and the building itself was enjoyable with some good techniques that vary it and set it aside from a straight-forward type of build. Like most speed champions, a LOT of stickers, so be prepared, but overall I like the set and it will be displayed well. "
