Nostalgic in a good way
" The jeep is not too hard to put together but once it is put together you don't want to take it apart. The minifigs each come with a small base-plate that recalls plastic toy soldiers. This set includes guns but also a metal detector, backpack, 2 binocs, and radio so a child could enjoy playing "army men" even without guns. One has a medical hat and a stretcher so wounded scenarios are possible. All 4 have the same expression. Sometimes the minifigs don't stick to their bases very well and the hats tend to fall off but the hand held items stay pretty well. This set allows for open ended play in the sense that the characters can perform different roles. Additional sets are required if you want to BUILD forts in an open ended fashion because every piece is used to make the jeep or minifigs. "

Includes a fun "tiger" car
" This is similar to the baby zoo in that they have an elephant, a giraffe, a polar bear, and a large cat. This has a tiger and the baby zoo has a lion. This set has a male zoo keeper and the other has a female keeper. If you only want the keeper and the animals then the other set is probably a better set. This one costs more because it has several fun extras like the white tiger stripe car, the fences, and some food. Many young children find animals fascinating and enjoy holding and playing with them. This should be a winner with most kids. "

Motorcycle wins it
" I paid more than the current sale price but I feel it is a pretty good value. Another duplo Minifig can sit behind on the motorcycle. It is fun that the mail fits through the slot or the door can open. Not many postal workers (a more correct term) seem to actually ride motorcycles but it is fun to play with. I agree that a second package would be of more use than the flower or green cube. "

Here comes the colorful circus train, complete with a friendly clown conductor and a baby elephant doing its umbrella act. LEGO DUPLO bricks are sturdy, safe, and lots of fun for small hands to build, take apart, and rebuild over and over again! Includes clown figure, elephant, and train

Simple but very fun
" My daughter is 20 months and enjoys pushing this on our floor because the bar across the front wheels actually moves as you push it. She is still too young to actually line up train wheels with a track but she enjoys this as much as her Duplo school bus. She also enjoys the umbrella which the clown or elephant can hold. The clown can ride the elephant if he is sitting not standing.
Duplo trains DO NOT fit Lego train tracks you have to get Duplo track. This train is not powered.
Sets to consider with this: the Circus set, the Duplo Train starter set, and the baby zoo set - to add more animals.

LEGO In & Around Town - Polar Zoo
LEGO In & Around Town - Polar Zoo
They may come from opposite poles, but they all have fun together at the LEGO Ville zoo! As the playful penguins slide down the tube, the polar bear and its little cub play with the block of ice and wait for the zookeeper to feed them their favorite fishy snack. Just the right size for smaller hands! Includes 2 penguins, 2 polar bears, 1 fish, zookeeper and penguin tube

Fun Slide Good Polar fun
" The slide is great and probably the favorite part of this set for my daughter.
The one miss in this set is that the polar bear name plate has a pale green shape that appears to come out of the nether quarters of the animal. It took me a little while to figure out that was supposed to be Greenland. Maybe a darker green would make that more clear. "

Some fun parts
" The big giraffe head moves up and down and the monkeys' arms move but none of the other animals move.
The large elephant features 4 bumps that fit any duplo on top. Some of the animals feature one single large bump on top it fits beneath some duplos but is not the same size as a standard duplo bump. This is a bit confusing.
The fish and bananas are fun as is the ladder. The pieces to make the enclosures are pretty good too. I would like to see the "feeding" critters available as a compliment because there is no crocodile or lion in this set. The tiger sign shows China which is true but leaves out India. The giraffe sign shows Africa which is accurate "

Good variety pack
" I like this set and the storage bucket is very handy. There are some interesting shapes with a cart and window and there is a boy minifigure. I just like the counting set (Item number 5497) better because it has the boy and cart but also a dog and has more color to it. I don't live near a lego store so I buy many sets at other retailers and if this is what they have on hand it is a good set. "

Nice Duplo Set
" My daughter loves the cat. The bucket can hold much more which makes it good for storage. I have 2 buckets and together they hold 5 duplo sets. There is a window and a flower and 2 eyes but unless your child loves cats I would probably start off with a different set with a person or a cart or more pieces. "

Great Basic Building set
" In the lego store I wanted to get a very fancy set for my child and the employee suggested this as a starting place because you don't have to invest much to see if your child enjoys duplo. The pieces are pretty basic with a couple of clear blue cubes, some black, white, and orange pieces, and a long green and long yellow piece. This is good if you want to try out Duplo as a first set or if you want to augment a set you already have with more basic pieces. "

Fun Yellow Bus
" There are not very many pieces in this set but it is still a good value. My daughter loves opening up the cargo hold and stuffing the suitcases in there. She enjoys driving it and it moves well. The chair is already missing so she's probably stored that someplace too. I like that there is a girl in this set. "
