Monkie Kid boat
" We bought this for our son for his 8th birthday and we’re really impressed. Here’s what he says about it:
“The Monkie Kid boat is really good to play with because it opens up and you can see and play with every room inside (unlike the Barracuda Bay pirate ship -Dad). I love playing with the mini boats and the mech (robot) and the way they fit inside the main boat is really clever. I like all of the crates with rooms inside, the bathroom and the cat flap. The air vents are a cool detail too! I love the big stickers and I don’t always get stickers straight but these were easy. I don’t like that there are trap doors that don’t work. I loved building it with all of the technic Lego for all of the moving parts at the bottom of the boat. There are several Lego pieces that I have never used before. The instructions have a new style where On each page they show you how close you are to the end of the section. I built it for a few hours a day and it took nearly a week, there were cool bits every day. Overall it’s an amazing set and one of the best sets I have.”
It’s a great set and he’s played with it constantly since finishing it. It is much bigger than other boat sets such as the deep sea exploration vessel from a few years back. I also like how all of the elements are one cohesive set, there are no “add-on” parts that some sets have that then get set aside. The instructions are even better than normal as he has mentioned above, and they have a blue background making them more dyslexia-friendly. "
