Get the Carnage bust instead
" As a longtime fan of the Marvel/Spider-Man universe, I’m happy to have this Venom bust set in my collection. But as a longtime-and-now-adult fan of LEGO I’m unfortunately not very wowed by this set. The set gets a few things right in my opinion, like Venom’s snarling teeth and slithering tongue. But the lack of detail, unlike that seen in the Carnage bust set, and odd design choices (not to mention essentially copy-and-pasting the design of the Carnage set) makes the set very underwhelming. The set is just pure black! No inclusion of grotesque details like those seen in the Carnage set.
My verdict: if you love the character to death, then get it, you’ll enjoy having it in your collection. But if you’re more of a stickler for good LEGO design and want a superior set, get the Carnage bust instead. I find it to be far more gnarly-looking and surprisingly charming in design even after owning it since its release. "
