"This is likely the most complex and impressive design I've ever had the pleasure of building.
Krennic's Shuttle comes with 5 Lego minifigures (6 including K-2SO). The Director Krennic minifigure is wildly accurate to the character's appearance with a great looking face and torso print plus a sweet looking chrome blaster. His cape is a slightly different shade of white than his torso and I personally would've made his hairpiece a more gray color but those are not serious problems. Unfortunately, there is no second expression for the Director, he would've done well to have an angry/infuriated face. The Death Troopers are some of the coolest minifigures I've ever seen. Their exclusive helmet mold is amazing with great printed details and the same goes for their torsos and legs. I think one of them should've had a rifle like Pao's but the normal blaster looks fine too. Bodhi Rook looks great in minifigure form with perfect facial expressions. One of his faces shows him smiling optimistically while the other shows a more calm face with cool looking goggles (I prefer the goggled face). His torso is really well detailed with lots of pouches. His backpack kind of gets in the way sometimes so I usually take it off. Pao is a very interesting and well detailed figure that, as far as I can tell, is really accurate to the movie. He comes with two facial expressions, one frowning in slight anger and a second (Which I prefer) that shows him yelling or screaming with his mouth wide open. His torso and leg prints look very detailed and he comes with a cool backpack with some sort of antenna on the side. The set also includes a character I'm really excited about, K-2SO. K-2's body/head mold is one o the most impressive of any Lego Star Wars droid ever. It perfectly captures his essence. One gripe I have is that since 1999, Lego has still not made legs for droids that can move separately from each other. Overall, the lineup of characters Krennic's Imperial Shuttle brings you is one of its main selling points.
The build itself is deceptively complex and time consuming. Due to its complexity, there s not much room inside the shuttle to place minifigures. You can fit about 5 figures inside and still close it up properly but the inside has almost no play-ability features. Director Krennic's chair in the cockpit looks great and appropriately ceremonial. The ramp that opens on the bottom is nothing special and doesn't bring much play value with it but still looks good for displaying. When the walls are all folded up, the ship looks gorgeous. The sleek black of the entire build creates an ominous feel and is definitely true to what I've seen of the shuttle in Rogue One trailers. On the bottom of the shuttle, there is landing gear that are joined together on each side and look great for display. The wings are really well designed with almost unnoticable spring-fire missiles underneath. I would say the shuttle is definitely worth the $89.99 you pay for it.
I'll go ahead and finish my review with a good old-fashioned pro/con list.
"This set is definitely worth the price you pay for it! The Lego Hoth Attack is a great set for lovers of the original trilogy and makes a great addition to any Hoth collection. It comes with 3 excellent minifigures and several cool functions. The set includes Han Solo in his snow gear, who has amazing printing, a Rebel trooper, who looks great with white and gray snow gear as opposed to the old sand colored torsos, and lastly, an Imperial Snowtrooper, an iconic figure that looks great with the semi-new helmet mold. I personally think the set should've come with a Tauntaun for Han or the Rebel to ride on but it's fine without one. The set itself looks great as a display and is a fun set to play with. on the back, there is a knob that, when twisted, turns the Rebel tower cannon. Another cool feature is how the skinnier ground pieces can fold around the main snow structure and to make a round display instead of a long skinny one.
Pros: Minifigures Set design Price
Cons: Lack of Tauntaun
That's all I have for the Hoth Attack. I would definitely recommend this set to all Lego Star Wars fans!"
"Buying Lego minifigure key chains is always a great value. After watching Star Wars: Episode VII, I knew I needed a Poe Dameron minifigure. The key chain makes it cheap and easy to get this great figure. I always cut the keychains off to make it like all other Lego minifigures. The printing on this figure is great and so is the resistance pilot helmet he comes with. One thing that disappoints me is Poe's face. It only vaguely resembles the character. Lego should've made their figure look younger and more ruggedly handsome."
"This battle pack is one of the best Lego has released in recent years. It comes with 4 cool, new minifigures but the speeder is super oversized and clunky looking.
The 4 Rebel soldiers this set comes with are definitely the winning factor. It comes with 1 Duros Rebel, 1 Rodian Rebel, and 2 Human Rebels. I've never had a Lego Duros or Rodian so these are very nice figures to have. The 2 Human Rebels are also cool, I especially like the brown and white helmet that comes with one of them, it looks very true to the game this set was based on. One gripe I have for this set is the same as for any Battle Pack Lego has sold in the past 2 years. Stud shooters! I can't stand these fat blasters! They look so fake and unrealistic :(
The speeder bike that comes in this battle pack looks like it's really only loosely based off of the speeder bikes seen in the Original Trilogy. The speeder is way too big for the minifigures and shouldn't seat 2 people. It's a nice feature but the speeders this is based off of are clearly 1 seaters.
Overall, this is a great set for Original Trilogy fans, Rebellion fans or fans of the game this Battle Pack is based off. It comes with 4 great minifigures and a lot of nice pieces."
"This set is nothing special. While I really enjoyed the movie, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, this set is altogether not too impressive.
In my opinion, the best part of this set is the Superman minifigure. He, for the most part, looks the same as the Man of Steel version, the largest difference being the hair pieces. Superman's new hairpiece is awesome and one of the main reasons I bought the set. I'm disappointed that this set didn't include the new half red, half blue legs that Superman has in the largest Batman v. Superman set. The Batman figure is not as great, it comes with a cool armor piece but it would have been better with the new Batman mask mold instead of the older one that it came with.
The set itself is not very memorable. I was excited when I saw that it came with a bat signal but it spins causing the Batman symbol to usually be upside down or sideways. I'll probably end up taking this set apart for spare pieces due to the lack of play-ability. If you just want a few cool minifigures for a cheap price then this is the set for you."
"This battle pack is amazing!!!! I'm not sure if Lego wants people to realize what game it's from or not. This set comes with 3 amazing new minifigures and 1 that's not quite as exciting. The best minifigures are the battle-worn Stormtroopers with scrapes and blast marks all over their armor. Plus, they have the main reaon I bought the set strapped to their backs. JUMP-PACKS!!!! The mold made for these accessories are exeptional, Lego's designers did great with them. Next up is the brand-new Imperial Shock Trooper, one of the Emperor's guards. His printing is amazing and exclusive to this set just like the Stormtroopers. Lastly is the Imperial officer. He's nothing special, but he's still a nice figure to get, I would've added a scout trooper or a dark trooper in his place. The turret/command center that the set comes with is an interesting choice to include in it, it does come with some nice pieces that can be used for othere things. I think the set would've been better off with an E-web turret or a cannon from the planet Sullust. The worst part of the set, as with all modern battle packs, are the stud-shooters, I can't stand them!!! Lego, please stop including them in your battle packs.
Pros: Minifigures Price Jump-packs Cool pieces
Cons: Stud-shooters Stud shooters and Stud shooters"
"This set is a great addition to any Star Wars fan's Lego collection. It's perfect for those of us Lego collectors who like minifigures better then the rest of the set. It comes with 4 minifigures and has a great price 12.99 USD. The First Order Stormtroopers are very well printed and their helmet mold really cool. The First Order technician is nothing too exciting, he looks pretty much like a Death Star Gunner from Star Wars Episode IV. The First Order officer is exclusive to this set and I think he's the only one with the little flap things on his hat facing downward (he also kinda looks like Finn with a frown). The turbolaser isn't that exciting to me but has a few cool features. It can turn 360 degrees and 2 sides open up to reveal extra ammo and a control panel. Unfortunately, the part that actually fires can't point upwards much, it can point downwards well but I don't think the First Order needs to fire down much, mostly up at the sky full of starfighters.
Pros. Great minifigures Amazing price Cool turbolaser
Cons The turbolaser can't point towards the sky very well
Overall, the great price and minifigures overshadow any problems with this set, I rate it 10/10."
"I'm not a huge fan of microfighters, this is the 3rd one I've bought in the course of 3 years. Usually the reason I get them is for the minifigures, the same goes for this case. Despite my lack of excitement for Microfighters, I'm always impressed with the surprisingly complicated designs. The speeder has great detail for such a small size. I think it's fun to swing it around going "vroom" haha. The First Order Snowtrooper that comes with this set is a must have! The helmet looks awesome!! Unfortunately, unlike in the full sized Snowspeeder, he doesn't come with a white waist-cape. Other then that, my only problem with the trooper is that with his backpack on, his neck looks abnormally long so I just never use it.
Pros: Detailed mini-speeder Great Snowtrooper Great price
Cons: Backpack/neck problem Lack of white waist-cape"
"This set is awesome!! The price... eh, not so much. However, it comes with both Kylo Ren and Finn so that sorta makes up for it. The set has a lot of cool feature such as sliding doors, a hidden box for a lightsaber, a toppling wall and a falling tree. The design is more complex then I expected and it is an excellent representation of one of the most noticeable locations from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The set comes with 5 minifigures: Kylo Ren, Finn, Maz Kanata and 2 Stormtroopers, on with a Z-6 Stun Baton. Personally, I think this set should have come with 1 more minifigure such as Rey or Han Solo. The figures are great, Kylo Ren and Finn are both amazing and getting more Stormtroopers is always a plus. This version of Kylo Ren is exclusive to this set, with a face under hsi helmet instead of a printed on mask. The Maz Kanata figure isn't all too exciting to me. There's just not much to use her for... To sort of wrap things up, I'll make a pro/con list
Pros: Detailed minifigures Plenty of play-ability Great representation
Cons: The price tag Lack of another figure
Overall, this is a great set and a must have for anyone who loves The Force Awakens that doesn't already have the figures that come with it. For me, this made a great addition to my Episode VII collection."
"When I first saw the Force Awakens Lego sets online I knew this is the one I wanted. I chose the set for the First Order Stormtroopers. Anyways, that' enough about me, on to the Lego! This set is amazing, a bit pricey but that's to be expected with brand new Star Wars sets, it is wonderfully designed and has a lot of playability. Minifigs: 2 First Order Stormtroopers, 2 Flametroopers, Captain Phasma, 2 Resistance Soldiers.
Pros: Features a removable roof so you can set all your soldiers inside waiting to be deployed. Dropping door on the troop bay for stormtroopers to rush through into the chaos of battle. Opening and closing hatch with moving seat for someone to control the turret on top The set is built on top of 4 clear, un-noticable wheels that glide smoothly on the floor. The Stormtroopers, flametroopers, and Capt. Phasma Minifigures (the Resistance soldiers are just kinda generic, but add to the playability). Very detailed (and also just cool looking) exterior reminiscent of a WWII landing craft. Opening cockpit with slide in stand for a pilot.
Cons: The price tag, currently listed online at $89.99 (I bought it at a LEGO store for $100 which is even worse) I accidentally fire the spring-loaded missiles a lot when trying to re-attach the roof of the troop bay
I can't really think of anything that's bad with this set other than the price and the missile-placement. So far I'm really enjoying playing with this set, I recommend it for fans of the Empire, stormtroopers, the First Order or just Star Wars fans in general."
