An amazing set for you money!
" This set may spell the end for the Kingdoms line of LEGO sets, and I am very disappointed. Looking at the list of Themes, there are only 2 remaining Kingdoms sets, and one of them is a Chess board.
Perhaps kids these days aren't into medieval battles anymore. Perhaps my entire fascination with knights and swords and bows and all that jazz was thanks to Video Games (I played Age of Empires and Warcraft when they were around), and I shouldn't glamourize the past that much.
I suppose a Theme has to die some day. I mean, the Adventure Theme (featuring Johnny Thunder) died a few years ago, so maybe it's about time. "

Mandalorians? Yes, Please!
" Now, I'm not sure if this set is based off of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, but one way or another: the figures are nice!
The non-mini figure pieces are kind of paltry in comparison to the other Battle Packs, although I can't complain in getting a new "Rocket Launcher"/"Sniper Rifle" for my army.
A general complain I have is the lack of Big Battle sets. Checking LEGO.com for Star Wars sets, and the only "Big Battle" set I could find was the Hoth Echo Base set. Every other set is some sort of spaceship. I suppose the target market likes ships more than battles.
Regardless, I suggest that LEGO makes a set or two which includes 12+ mini-figures and a pair of small bunkers or towers. 5 of the figures on each team will be "foot soldiers", and the last will be a "commander". That way, you can have battles with friends or yourself. Then, when you get bigger sets, the towers/bunkers can be set pieces in the battle.
I, a 19-year-old grown teenager, still plays with sets like this. I know that if there are more sets like this, there'll be more of me's out there. "

A weird set to decribe...
" I received this set last year for Christmas, and I was enthralled. The set took many hours, and was very fun to build. The challenge wasn't because of weak design or poor quality pieces, but in sheer size of the task you're putting yourself in. The set is also a great conversation piece for people who are and aren't fans of LEGO.
That being said, I think it single-handedly turned me off of LEGO, and I have a feeling I know why. It's because the set IS more of a set piece than a set to build and play with. You wouldn't spend hours playing with it, because you can't fiddle around with any of the set pieces. You'd just be re-enacting the different scenes from the movie, more-so than creating your own.
I think if you want to buy a bunch of Star Wars-based LEGO and have a lot of fun, purchase a large ground-based set like Hoth Echo Base (http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/Hoth-Echo-Base-7879) and buy a bunch of the Battle Packs to compliment it. Buying 10+ Battle Packs and the Hoth Echo Base nets you at least 45 mini-figures: well enough to have a fun battle!
However, if you're the type who likes to have LEGO for display purposes, this is one of the best sets for that. "
