"This set is pretty decent for what it is. The colors of the Falcon really look good. The figures are amazing and have great levels of detail.
This set's problem is in that it's not good for display. The technic frame used to build its base is majorly exposed and looks ugly from every angle except top-down. There's so many gaps between the plates that make up the outer hull and it looks unfinished. This problem is exponentially worse than on the 2015 Falcon."
"Rey's Speeder is a great little set. It may look small but it is packed with plenty of detail and features for its relatively low pricepoint.
You get 193 pieces consisting of many dark red bricks, black bricks, and light grey bricks. A new brick, 2x4 Plate with Technic Holes, is included. I hope to see it used more often, as it's very convenient to have. Other interesting pieces include the 1x1 dark blue transparent studs, the dark grey spoiler pieces, and all of the sloped dark red pieces.
Two minifigures are included: Rey and Unkar's Thug. Rey is one of the main characters of the film, so it it nice to have her in such a cheap set. She comes with plenty of accessories, such as a sawblade, pistol, viewfinders, knapsack, and head wrap. Her printing is nice and detailed, very accurate to what is seen on screen. Unkar's Thug is also very nicely detailed, with a dark grey metallic head to boot. He is equipped with a gold crowbar piece that looks very nice when he's holding it.
The set itself is about 5.5 inches long when assembled. Turning the bottom rear engine either way opens up the side compartments using a clever mechanism that I had fun putting together. The cargo hold inside has not much room, as it is meant to only hold the included cargo bin, but it is also suitable for storing Rey's knapsack and headpiece when not in use. The side doors have clips for holding various accessories. Directly under the cargo hold are two stud shooters, which are very stable and do not fire off under light pressure unlike the spring-loaded missiles seen in other sets. They blend in fairly well with the rest of the vehicle, although when viewed from the front they look a little out of place.
Pros: -Color Scheme -Minifigures -Abundance of Accessories -Great for Display -Excellent price -Excellent detail -Excellent play features
Notes/Nitpicks: -Upper engine should not morph into the pilot's seat as seen in the set. In the movie, the engine has a full fuselage and the pilot's seat rests above it. -Stud shooters look out of place when viewed from the front. -Cargo hold is very small -The front part of the vehicle with the vents does not flush too well into the top part of the vehicle with the windshield, and there is an out-of-place depression on both sides in front of the cargo doors. The actual ship does not have this. This is understandable however, as it would be very difficult to fix these issues without compromising the main play feature of the set, which is far more valuable than the aforementioned problems."
