Amazing Set
" This is an amazing set and a great deal for the money. The minifigures are very well done (I loved the inclusion of the hip fabric and packs). It's incredibly sturdy so it makes for a great play set as well - I saw a photo someone took of it standing on just its front legs!
The legs are very posable and the side plates and head plate open up to easily put figures inside.
Overall I would recommend this set quite a bit. It looks amazing on display and with the mini snowspeeder! "

One of the best Star Wars sets
" This set has it all - tons of minifigures, realistic weaponry, and additional parts that bring the scene to life and make it fun to play with, and best of all the price is very good for what you get.
I loved the inclusion of the commander droid and the droidekas, which were really well-designed. The gas pump, stairs, and spring ammo vehicle let you choose whether it's just another day at the hangar or whether you're actually getting attacked by a ton of droids and need to go foil an imperial plot.
Building was pretty easy apart from the stickers, which need to be done exactly or the ship looks uneven. Parents, I really recommend you do this part for your kids. The spring blaster trigger is awesome, however I dumbly loaded them while I was still building and almost shot myself in the face. So...don't do that. It's kind of touchy.
One of the things I didn't think I would love but turned out to be one of my favorite parts was the rotating stand for the ship. How smooth it is accentuates what a sleek ship the Starfighter is.
I highly recommend this set, so much so that I wouldn't mind getting a second one.
The time taken to build is not an estimate. "

Good collector piece, bad play set
" First off, this set is overpriced. Following the usual price of Legos, ten cents per piece, this set is about $20 too high. Unless you're a collector, I wouldn't recommend this set.
For the pros, it looks awesome! The cockpit is sweet and the wings attach in such a way that the entire ship looks sleek. I also really love that the minifigures come with realistic weapons. While I understand that Lego is mostly marketing towards children, it's really nice to be able to arm my figures with something that doesn't look like a portable cannon.
The minifigures themselves are mostly nothing special, but I feel like they included a good number for this set. The helmets on the TIE pilots are awesome.
As for the negatives of this set, again, it's overpriced. The other thing is the stupid wings. Another reviewer said that the attachment point (a few clips) is quite strong. I don't know what he was doing but mine is terrible! I made sure to push them in all the way, but if you use the slightest bit of pressure in trying to stick a figure into the cockpit the wings pop off. If you set the set down a bit too solidly the wings pop off. If you so much as breathe wrong the wings pop off. I am pretty careful with my stuff and this still happened a ridiculous amount so I can't imagine someone young or not particularly coordinated being able to play with this set for more than a few minutes without it breaking.
Overall I would give this set 4 stars as a collector's piece, and two stars as a play set.
The time it took to put together is not an estimate, though it may take longer for less experienced builders. "

Awesome set
" This is probably my second most impressive set (the first being the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier), but it is my most fun set by far.
The size of this set is huge! It takes up half my coffee table. There are tons of small details and hidden secrets that make this set enjoyable, it's not just a few trees that are connected together. The upper part of the three trees connected to the main platform rotate, making the insides easy to access from most angles. I love the parts that were in the movie, such as CPO's throne, the helmet drums, and the AT-DP log trap.
It isn't too difficult to put together apart from the railings, which tend to pop off if you don't pre-bend them first, and the rope ladder and bridge, which are difficult to hold still and not twist. The different browns and black are somewhat hard to tell apart in the instructions, but once you do it goes smoothly. It was also fairly difficult to tell which hole the leaves connected to each other with, though that's not a problem if you're not as particular as I am.
The minifigures are amazing and make this set. Without the number provided the trees would look empty! It gives you enough to act out a number of scenes from the movie or just play around with. The printing on the figures is great and there is an awesome variety.
The only real negative thing I have to say is about the price, which is $50 high - however with all of the minifigures and variety in this set I'd still buy it.
The build time is not an estimate, however I did split it up over a few days. "
