A Great Fun Build which I didn't want to finish
" When I bought Metalbeard's Sea Cow at the Lego Store the assistant who served me said that he had built it and had found it difficult because it was mostly brown. His remarks put me off building it a bit as I thought it was going to be a very boring brown build but how wrong I was!! I can honestly say that this is one of the best Lego Sets I have built and the finished model is great - just like the Sea Cow from The Lego Movie.
The set as well as the Sea Cow includes Metalbeard, Emmet, Wildstyle, Vitruvius, Benny, a green queasy looking Unikitty and two Micro Managers. It also includes Emmet's Double Decker Couch which bizarrely is probably my favourite thing in the set. I also like the different coloured Unikitty.
As I have said the ship is very brown but don't let that put you off building it. The Sea Cow set is split into 9 bags; the first few contain the minifigures, Micro Mangers and Double Decker Couch. The following bags each contain a section of the Sea Cow. I found that building the ship section by sction and bag by bag somehow made it less daunting and so enjoyable that I didn't want to finish building it. I had real feeling of accomplishment when I had finished it. Where I'm going to put it is another matter altogether as it is very big.
There is a lot of detail in this model and I particulary liked Metalbeard's cabin which has a globe, maps, pictures, bottles and a rat in it.

What a fun build!!
" Although I initially thought that The Simpsons House was quite expensive at £179.00 after building it I think it was well worth the money I paid for it.
This was one of the sets I have had the most fun building and one I didn't want to finish. The set is just like The Simpsons House on TV down to the very last detail. There is so much going on from the decor in the bedrooms, kitchen with crockery and cutlery, front room, garage and the car is big enough for the family to sit in. There is even garden furniture, a skateboard ramp for Bart, a barbecue that Ned Flanders is cooking sausages on, garden chairs and some drinks. There are Minifigures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Ned Flanders. If you wanted additonal Minifigures you could always use some from The Simpsons Minifigures Series.
I really like the finished house but I think it would have been even better if the house could be opened more towards the front so that you could see the whole room rather than opening in the middle as some of the rooms are cut in half. The finishing touch would have been some grass for the garden to put the garden items on but that's easily sorted by buying a green base plate.

A really enjoyable build
" I now have all the modular street sets and this was one of the most enjoyable to build. Although it is quite small in relation to some of the other buildings the detail more than makes up for it. I really liked the Artist's Studio at the top of the building with it's easel and paints. The fully equiped kitchen with cooker, pans, fridge with milk and cheese, sink, knives and even a turkey which is being chopped up by the chef is amazing. The detail in the restaurant itself with tables inside and out, table lamps, flowers is superb. There is even a man with a ring who wants to propose to his girlfriend. This is the type of restaurant that I have seen in Paris and one that, if it was a bit bigger and not made of LEGO, I would like to go and eat at!!
This is a great set and a great addition to the street. I enjoyed building it and I enjoy looking at it on the shelf where it now lives.
