Cole's Best Vehicle Yet
" The Rock Roader is an amazing vehicle, and, as the title suggests, the best of Cole's vehicles yet.
First, the aesthetics. I love the use of "earth" colours, predominately black but with some brown and the new green pieces (the colour which we have seen before, on Cole's dragon, for example). It is a rugged, earthy vehicle that is well suited to the Earth ninja.
Secondly, the vehicle itself. I love, love, love the suspension. It is incredible! Each wheel can move independently, so you can place a rough terrain in Cole's way and this vehicle will conquer it with ease. The suspension works in an amazing way that I don't think any other LEGO vehicle has done before. Even if you're not a huge Ninjago fan, I recommend getting this set simply to marvel at the suspension.
Third, the characters. We get an exclusive DotD Cole, with his new, non-ghost face (slight spoiler for those who have not seen the special episode!) and the orange arms, for his newfound powers. I think the semi-transparent arms are very cool, and work well.
Nelson, the purple ninja seen in Season 6, is also featured. I'm not sure why, because he wasn't in the special, but that's ok. I hope to see more of Nelson in the show and he is a sweet little minfigure. My only complaint is his face: it is the same, standard kid face with freckles and I would've liked to see a new or different face. Plus, a hairpiece would be nice too.
As for the villains, their lookout is just a little "token" build, not anything of great importance, really. The two Stone Warriors are clearly no match for Cole in his Rock Roader, but they made for a good addition to my Stone Army collection. I was pleased to see that the old torsos and heads have been re-used. Nice to see some continuity.
Overall, this is an amazing Ninjago set, for any Cole fans, Ninjago fans, or fans of LEGO vehicles in general. I definitely recommend this! "

Terrific Trio of Minifigs!
" At long last, fans of NINJAGO can finally get their hands on three of the amazing Elemental Masters from the Tournament of Elements. I was elated to discover this set, and quickly added it to my collection.
Let's start with the fan favourite; Skylor. It's great to see the first female Ninja again, as someone who loved her in the show but was unable to acquire her original minifigure. The torso is highly detailed, with a print on both sides, and I especially like the arrow pack printed on the back, giving the appearance that she's always got her pack, even when the actual piece isn't there. This is her Skybound outfit, in her unique shade of orange, but the hood used is one we've seen before. The headpiece is identical to her first figure, except it does not have the "mask" printed on the other side. I believe the bright red ponytail hairpiece is unique and exclusive to this figure. A standard, brown quiver of arrows is included, and the larger bow, which was previously with LOTR sets and the Forest Maiden minifigure. A small token sushi piece is also included, though I would've preferred there to be at least two of the pieces, in case one goes missing.
Next, there's Shade, who I was pleased to be able to get as a minifigure, as he was one of my favourite characters from Season Four. The torso is well-designed, it almost has a skeletal aspect to it, which fits in with Shade's mysterious character in my opinion. LEGO use the new two-colour leg design, giving Shade black "boots", which work really well here. Again, the face is only one-sided, but I would've preferred it to have had an alternate design; perhaps a straight face, to alternate with his angry fighting one, as an added play feature. The katanas we've seen before, and the sword is one of the Stone Warriors' from way back in Season 2. The shield seems pretty unique, with its chrome finish, and is a nice addition to my LEGO armoury. The only thing I'd add to this character, aside from an alternate face, would be a bandana or some sort of face mask, as he seems the odd one out in the set for not having any way of concealing his identity. Nevertheless, Shade is an excellent minifigure.
Finally, on to Ash. He wasn't a favourite of mine in the show- I would've preferred another master, such as Neuro- but he's a great minifigure. Well-detailed torso with a nice colour scheme, the blue-gray really suits him, in my opinion. The print continues onto the back, but it's rather plain in comparison to the nice belt and additional details on the front. I like how the print on the legs is a clear continuation of that on the torso, it's nice when minifigures really seem to be wearing the same garment even when it's split across two pieces. No two-colour leg pieces here, but I think it could've been done. Ash's hairpiece is another unique one, in that same blue-gray, which is different from the show (but I'm not complaining). His face is its characteristic smirk, again with no alternate face. Which would've made this minifigure even better. Now, onto the accessories- Ash has a traditional ninja hood, the kind from the original NINJAGO sets, one that we saw return with the last wave of Day of the Departed sets (on Nelson). Bit of nostalgia here, for those who've loved the show from the start- but Ash doesn't wear a hood in the show. So if you're fussy about the minifigures reflecting canon, Ash's hair colour and hood are going to annoy you.
His weapons, I think, are smoke bombs. Not entirely sure, but the black "ice cream cone" piece and transparent black minifigure heads are useful pieces to add to any LEGO collection.
Overall, this is a great little set, and at only £10.99 it's amazing value for money. Certainly worth that for three exclusive minifigures! My only complaint would be the lack of double-sided heads, but that isn't a problem for if you simply want them for display.
It would be awesome if LEGO could make more Elemental Masters in the future! (especially Neuro, please!!) "

" I bought this set after viewing season 6 of Ninjago, and I liked the Zeppelin in the show. The set did not disappoint.
Figures:
Zane- Zane comes in his new Skybound gi. Like the other Ninja's, it has his element dragon/airjitzu symbol on the front. The hood and legs are the same piece as their 2015 Deepstone outfits. However, with a different top, this really does look like a different outfit.
Clancee- Clancee is one of my favourite Sky Pirates from the show. His minifigure is really cool, with the Anacondrai head from early 2015 in a unique green. I think he's also the only Sky Pirate with a wooden leg. The eyes were a bit too small and bad-looking for my liking, as he is a sweet yet scared snake in the show. Still, he's a great minifigure.
Doubloon- Doubloon is also a unique figure. His head is double-sided like in the show. I personally prefer his smiling face, but his fighting/angry face is also pretty cool.
Zane's flyer- I have to say, I was slightly disappointed with this. It's smaller than I expected, and the pieces on the sides/wings are just the old spinner tops. There's nothing in the centre of them, which made me question how that can even fly with large holes in the 'wing' parts. However a little imagination solves that issue.
Raid Zeppelin- the ship itself is pretty decent. The 'air-balloon' style pieces used are very cool. It's a very unique design. There is a small trapdoor/hatch that slides open, to drop dynamite out of, or perhaps to remove the enemy from the ship. The steering wheel is a typical pirate one, making it more authentic. But the computers behind help to add a little modern touch, reminding us that this is set in the high-tech Ninjago world. The main disadvantage of the Zeppelin is the lack of deck space. The figures can barely squeeze on, and there is not much room to stage fight scenes, with Ninja vs Pirates on the ship. However, I have it mainly for display, so that feature does not bother me too much.
Overall, the Zeppelin is a decent set, with a unique yet easy build, and cool minifigures. I would definitely recommend it. "
