Lego Pirates Chess set
" I had seen a review of this set on you tube which intrigued me and got me to thinking about buying this otherwise I probably never would have. I am not a chess player and don't intend to become one! However its fun staging them on the board. That all said I love mini figures and there is a large collection of them here. Yes there is some reception but if you are looking to get many figures this is a way to build up your collection for whatever purpose. The other point that the You Tube reviewer pointed out is that there are some relatively useful pieces in the set so if you have no plans of actually using the set it makes for some good parts. Its super easy to build so no challenge here for those that are looking for that. "

" I hadn't bought any Technic as an adult. I just recently started buying Lego again and have really come to enjoy the large modulars. But set this caught my eye. I actually had wanted to build the red custom truck but it was not available in store and wanted to take something home for the weekend. Was somewhat of a different build than usual for me. The instructions are good. I guess I am somewhat of an amateur as I seem to miss a step or use a wrong piece at least once during the whole build but not because of bad instructions as they are always well done. I could see kids having a load of fun with this model. The suspension is awesome. If you don't like applying decals there are a fair number in this set which certainly add to the over all look but I didn't bother adding them yet. I like the colours in green and blue. I can't comment to the engine and mechanics of it all as I don't much about cars although I know enough to be somewhat amused that the pistons actually move! I think my two favourite things were the bright yellow suspension and those huge tires! This things bounces! "

" What a fun build this was for me. I really like larger builds as I am sure many other Lego fans out there do. Well I hesitated to get this as its not your typical modular however there were several features that drew me to this set. One being the number of mini figures, secondly a change in the architecture type and as well as the colours! Have to say not disappointed in any of the above. Although I was aware of them they built in a few little and one larger nice surprise. I will let you figure those out. It is slightly pricey but for all the mini figures, lego and features I think in the end it is worth it. I have never really been a Ninjago fan although I am relatively new to the current Lego lineup as I hadn't played with Lego in years. I don't know that I would buy other sets in this line but I really did enjoy this one! Lego I would love to see perhaps some other type of architecture featured somehow in one lineup or another! Keep up the great sets! And always looking for something larger! "

" Well having just got back into Lego and just finished with the Arctic Ice Breaker set I wasn't sure where to continue although I felt like i would continue on with the City series. I ended with this set as it continued on with the sea/boat theme. Lots of fun little details like the sea creatures. I think the main vessel is really cool and apparently it really floats! I have also really enjoyed discovering all the mini figures. Of course there is little challenge in building them but with continued collecting the variety with just grow! Haven't tried but for kids that would be an awesome feature! "

" Just getting back into Lego and had a hard time choosing with all that is available out there now. However really had fun with this set. Not overly difficult and has good playability for the grand kids as they get older. Look forward to adding to the City series. "
