Not Dissapionted
" I had no expectations for this set, none at all, so i can not say it exceeded my expectations, but i will say I was not disappointed, not in the least. There is not much to say about this set as it is small, so I'll keep it brief. There is not much to say about the escape pod in this set except that it is not to great, my main problem with it is that it doesn't latch, so when you are swooshing it around the top probably will fall off. The minifgures on the other hand are spectacular, i have the old version of the Sandtrooper so i can validly say that there is a HUGE improvement in it, the details on both troopers are fantastic, and add a lot of character to the minfigs. C-3PO is also greatly improved and i am very impressed. The speeder bike is nice and simple and adds a little extra greeble to the set, although it was not necessary or included in the original movies (to the best of my knowledge that is). So in conclusion, if you got $20 lying around buy this set, it will be worth it. Again props to LEGO, keep up the good work!

Absolutely Excellent
" I really didn't want to like this set as i thought it would a badly done re-boot of the past two versions. But i was not disappointed with this set, it delivered: absolutely and totally delivered. Now, as with every set, i have my gripes, but with this set there are few, so i'll start of with how this set was very good. I have both versions of the past Jedi Intercepters and both are not that great, both having fragile bodies and wings and not much mass. They were small, this set is more accurate on minifigure scale, and has more weight to it. Everything about the ship is better that the earlier versions, the wing span, the weight, the weight distribution and the ability to fit R2-D2 in the wings, my only gripe about the ship is that is has no landing gear like the past two ships had, it just has to lay flat, other that that the ship is spectacular. Okay on to the Mustafar drones; they are excellently made, nice and simple but sturdy, they should have been featured in a set a long time ago, no gripes on their part. And lastly the minifigures; the set comes with a good variety of minifigures, and it was about time Nute Gunray was features in a non-Clone Wars set, but not in this set! I LOVE having a Nute Gunray but this is a terrible set to have him in, as well as the random droid, there not really part of the scene that LEGO is trying to create, so when you set this set up they just randomly stand there in the lava. Unfortunately they are totally pointless to the set. My only other gripe about the minifigures is Obi-Wan's hair, it just looks to CW-ish. Conclusion: The set has a relatively good piece count, but the price could be dropped by at least $5.00. So i have to say, get this set, its worth your time and money, you won't be disappointed. Either way props to LEGO for a great set, keep up the good work!

The iconic VW Camper........yeah...its awesome!
" I saw that this set was going to come out and started saving up my money, as soon as i had enough money i bought it. When i ordered it i wasn't sure if i was going to be happy, blown away, or disappointed. And gosh, i was totally blown away, who thought you could make this model with only 1,300 pieces. The build was slow and quite challenging, it took me around 4 hours (with a break very once in a while) to build this set. Even though this is my 4th largest set, it was still the longest build. The detailing on this is outstanding! You can look at all of the pictures, zoom, watch the movie and you've barely scratched the surface of this van. I don't want to ruin all of the details for you guys but some of my Favorite details are, the roof rack, which is perfect, the gas cap, the closet with the shirt "make Lego models, not war" hanging in it, so you can see it in the window & the engine, which is probably my favorite part of the Camper. This is such a great set, but there is, of course, always room for improvement. There are some small things that could have been better. First the roof, which is not very sturdy. (but the canvas is great!) Second, the doors could be better. And Stickers, come on Lego, i don't mind stickers to much, but for the VW sign, now thats just wrong. And for those of us who are perfectionists, the engine looks like a V4 not a FLAT 4. And one last thing that is NOT bad about it, but could have been cool, is if the wheels steered, or even just instructions on how to put a steering mechanism in there. Unfortunately they don't steer so you can really only drive it strait.:) But besides those small downs, i have to say it is just.......AWESOMETACULAR!!
Thanks Jamie Berard for the great set, you are my favorite designer.
P.S. Jamie i hope to get the mini modulars this January. :) "
