A must have!
" If you are looking for great lego value for the money, this is where it is at! All three of the creatures are awesome! My daughter loves to play with the snake. My personal favorite is the dragon's head. There are great rotational movement pieces as well as many hinge type pieces. This set is great for both types of builders: instruction following or creative.

fun and flexible
" Just bought this today for my 7 year old. We hadn't followed any of the Elves sets, so this was our first jump into the theme. Build time was faster than some larger sets. It does seem a little small to me, but my daughter loves it. There are lots of pieces and sections for rearranging. And the bending sides are fun.
Personally, I wish it came with more people and pets, space etc for the price. But the colors and pieces that it does come with are all really fun. The elf hair, capes, pets, gemstones, leaves, flowers, water area, fire area, desk, throne, portal, keys, and railings are all unique and interesting. Recommended for builders, imaginative play, collectors, and really just any lego fan.
I had browsed this in the store when it had just come out and I remember the sales clerk asking us why we where there and we said because we just love Legos! This definitely holds true for this set. While it is not as cleverly constructed or mechanical as some sets, it is definitely a very aesthetically pleasing set. The arches, curves, points, and colors are great.

" I started building legos over 25 years ago (I would describe only myself as a Lego Fan/Expert builder) and just introduced them to my 7 year old a few years ago. She has over 15 sets and this is one of her favorites. This review is from her point of view. It is really fun to build and to play pretend travel with afterwards. The whole back wall of the caravan opens up to allow for play and use as a super tiny house. It has a tiny sink, a blender, a shower, removable beds with storage (for tiny pieces) underneath, tv, storage for the table and chairs on the roof, and is just over all really cute. You can also detach and drive around the car with both people inside. To keep it from falling apart when playing, you just have to press down on pieces when assembling to make sure that there are no gaps between layers. It never falls apart when my daughter is playing as I taught her about building with no gaps at a young age. Any Lego set will fall apart if you don't properly attach pieces when building.
