Black Defender
" This is my first NEXO KNIGHTS set, as it caught my eye back when the summer wave was announced. I'm a sucker for giant robots and most the Ninjago ones haven't really caught my interest, but this on the other hand got my attention immediately. The build was pretty fun, I had no trouble with it, but a younger, less experienced builder might have a bit of trouble putting it together unassisted. The colors go really well together, and over all the set is a sight to behold put together. The minifigures are nice, as is the little area for the monsters. However my main and only complaint about this set is the sever lack of articulation, mainly in the legs and feet, but that can be fixed with relative ease if you have any spare parts from the old EXO-FORCE sets. I wouldn't say the lack of articulation is a deal breaker at all, as it still has a surprising range of mobility despite this, and is a pretty good set. The amount of pieces for 40USD is absolutely phenomenal too. I highly recommend this set, even if you aren't interested in the NEXO KNIGHTS sets, as it provides a very nice base/template for building your own mechs and has a nice amount of modding room on it. Earthquake Super Shock
" Last year's Onua looked a bit ridiculous, however, this version fixes all the issues I had with last year's Onua. Out of the Winter wave of Bionicles and including the Summer sets that are now out (I got Onua Uniter of Earth back in January) he is definitely one of the best sets so far. The balance of Purple, Gold, and Black is perfect with this set. The design is just glorious, and sturdy. The Hammer is absolutely great and functions well especially the shooter. The build was an absolutely good time. I got myself Onua as a Birthday present for myself and I loved every second of putting Onua together. The amount of mobility is great in him, the waist gearbox that was introduced in the winter wave is a great thing and works especially well with Onua. The addition of "uniting" him with Terak creature of Earth makes him look even better. Now that the summer wave is out I highly recommend the Quake Beast to fight Onua on your shelves if you're a collector, or to simply have fights against him if you're younger. Either way you'll have a blast with Onua. Highly recommend, as I also recommend all the sets so far this year. "

Literally a Shadow Hunter
" First off I'm surprised I didn't write a review for this glorious set already. It's a really great set and is one of the best villains design wise for The reboot so far, excluding Umarak the Destroyer as that came out after this. The overall design is great as Umarak is basically a spooky tree-deer-hunter creature and the colors all flow together nicely. The "hunter mask" (which is the mask of shadows) looks nice and so does the Mask of Control which comes in the set with him. The additional gimmick of being able to make a Shadow Trap out of parts that are on him already is great, and adds more to the set. The bow works and looks nice as well. My only complaint is that getting him to hold the blade he has attached to his thigh is near impossible without adding an extra part or two, and returning it to the thigh mount is equally annoying. Overall it's a wonderful set and I quite like it on display along with my other Bionicles. "

Fist of the North Star, with Earthquakes
" I picked up the Quake Beast a week before it was officially released at a Toys'R'Us, and I was not disappointed at all. I picked it mainly due to the lack of symmetry in the design and the Crystallized Arm. The build was wonderful and fast, I quite like the boxing function on it's crystal arm as I never thought of using the 2015 Gearboxes for that. The colors are very nice, the corrupted Unity mask of Earth looks great place into the Quake Beast's shoulder shadow trap. The set looks great in a cave/mine environment made out of Legos fighting Onua. Overall I wouldn't mind getting another one or several more actually, it's a wonderful kit that has a great amount of posing options and movement. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Earth Bionicles and has Onua and Terak. "

Scorching Fire
" This version of Tahu is quite the improvement, and is better than last year's Tahu. This Tahu and all the other larger sets for that matter actually feel like the more classic Bionicles. The build is a perfect blend of CCBS and Technic. The swords are neat as the length can change, and the can be put together as a staff. The rotation mechanism in the torso works very well. Tahu overall is a great set, even more so with Ikir to go with him. I recommend this to anyone. "

Deep Freeze
" First off the fact that you get both Kopaka and Melum is nice. Overall the set is absolutely wonderful. The build for Kopaka is very nice with a great blend of Technic and CCBS building techniques. The gear function for Melum (and all the other creatures for that matter as well) is really nice. The colors on both are great. My only complaint is the lack of a full shield for Kopaka, a shadow trap as included with all the other creatures, and the blue on his forearms, however these really aren't that big complaints.
The combination of Kopaka and Melum looks nice and reminds me of last year's Kopaka. I highly recommend this set to Bionicle fans as it has a Toa and a creature allowing one to experience both of the different builds.

Slave I: My new Desktop Monolith
" I had my eyes and wallet glued to this set since it was revealed a year ago. I finally picked it up about 3 weeks ago from my local Lego Store, and I have to say I was impressed just looking at the box. This is my first official Ultimate Collector Series set, unless the 2007 Walking AT-AT counts. First off, the completed model is absolutely MASSIVE, so if you plan on buying this piece of art, you need the space. Now, the build itself. it took me about 4 hours to finish the build, and I found the build incredibly satisfying and moderately difficult. Next the fact that the Slave I is to scale means it is also technically also a play set, but in practicality, it's a collectors item. Now a list of Pros and Cons.
Pros: THE DETAIL is incredible, right down to Boba Fett himself, the set has IMMENSE detail. The minifigures are almost all exclusive to this set. The Boba Fett has printed arms and legs, as well as a new face, the Bespin Guard is much more detailed than the last one that was released, the Han Solo with Cabonite form is also very detailed finally the Stormtrooper is very nicely detailed. The Slave I features many of it's hidden weapons that are never seen in film, which is one of my favorite parts of the set. The underside is highly detailed, which is rare among Lego sets. The modular/bag build streamlined and helped improve build time, and makes it easier to fix possible mistakes. The instruction booklet is as sturdy as the set itself is, incredibly so. Also the size and almost 10 cents per piece are just added bonuses.
Cons: Lacks the passenger seats the Slave I does, as well as the Proton Torpedo launchers. Also the size is also a negative as it takes up a lot of space on display.
Overall, this set is easily worth getting before it's gone. I highly recommend that anyone thinking about buying this set, DO IT. There are next to no cons, looks real fine on display. The pictures on this site don't do this beauty justice, so I decided to upload some of my own, which has comparisons between it and the last version of the Slave I released. I apologize for the quality as my PC is dead, I don't have a card reader, and I took these pictures with my iPod. "

Lock S-Foils into Attack Position
" When I first heard that we were getting a new X-Wing set, and even better from The Force Awakens, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. So I found it by accident today, and bought it on the spot. So here's a list of pros and cons.
Pros: The color scheme of the Starfighter itself is very eye-catching and pops out, as Black and orange highlight each other. The set itself is very nice, and it barrows some elements from the previous X-wing, while improving upon it. The fighter is nice and stream-lined. The service vehicle included is a nice addition, as is the additional pilot. Now all four minifigures themselves are all nice to behold. The X-Wing itself is also sturdy which is nice, and looks real fine on display if you're a collector, but also is real nice to play with as it has many features that fire. The stud launchers remind me of Proton Torpedo launchers, which is great, and fire smoothly as well. The spring-loaded missiles give off a feel of the laser cannons actually firing.
Cons: Not many, mostly that BB-8 has a tendency to become loose and fall out of the droid socket, and the price tag is the biggest con. Personally 80USD is a bit ridiculous to me, 70USD seems like it would make more sense, given the size of the completed set.
I would COMPLETELY recommend this to any Star Wars fan, as it makes an incredible addition to any collection. I don't really play with Legos per say anymore, and still found myself playing with it a bit. The pros overshadow the cons by the length of the Executor, but is bit overpriced. No matter that though 10/10 overall. Can't wait to see it in action when The Force Awakens comes out in theaters. "
