"After wanting the original UCS Falcon, when this was announced I had to have one. Never queued for anything in my life but decided to get up at 4.30am and go queue at my local Lego Store. I was lucky enough to be able to get one on the 14th of September.
As to the build, it is a massive thing, heavy and big and just needs to be seen to be appreciated. Had some pieces missing (nothing major), and also had some nice spares too.
My initial build was about 20hrs and I designed a stand for it, but it's quite fragile and moving it incorrectly pieces can fall off if you don't hold it just right and part of it collapsed and long story short...... I put it down and it didn't end well........ I rebuilt it a 2nd time over the next 8 days taking my time (as I had to sort out all 7541 pieces and start again, both builds and stand around 50hrs in total). Now it's assembled and on my stand, it's a piece of art moulded out of LEGO.
My one piece of advice, build it near where you want to display it as moving it is not easy, it's heavy but the size makes it quite awkward to move easily and you may have it come apart on you like I did...
It looks tremendous on display next to my BB-8 and will at Xmas be joined by my UCS R2-D2.
It's a long and time consuming build, but no major areas of repetition. Only real criticism is how things are 'hung' off the main technic frame which whilst strong in itself, the parts or modules 'clipping on' are not. I understand this is mainly targetted at AFOLs and a display only piece but I feel it should have been easier to pick up and move if you wanted to relocate it.
Having seen the original 10179 but never buying it and owning this, I can say this is a far superior finished set, it looks the part and is admired by any that see it. It's going to take something special I think to top this... Maybe a 10,000+ part 50th anniversary motorised Falcon? (just kidding)"

Jack and Friends.......
"This is my first ever review but I wanted to say I find the entire Brickheadz quite cute and endearing. Not overly complex to build but the variations are great and I hope many more series are to come.
Nice set of printed pieces as I have quite a dislike of 'stickers' so was very pleasantly surprised to see all the parts with graphics on them printed, well done LEGO !!!
I also thought I'd share a photo of my display stand I built for series 1. This can be used with a shelving system or placed free standing. I'm sure I used more pieces in the 'stand' than the figures but was nice and fun to build."
