Tron has been translated well into Lego form
" As a fan of Tron I find this model makes a nice colourful display piece. Its great to see other licenses being used in Lego as I find there is a bit too much Star Wars and superheroes at the moment.
A lot of thought has gone into the design of this model as even the base looks good. The bikes look good with the neon colours making them stick out.
I do find in some light conditions that the blue light cycle trail does not show up very well and looks too transparent. I also thought it was a bit pointless to include a third mini figure which did not fit into the scene at all. I do feel the set was slightly overpriced but its great non the less. "

The set I have always wanted!
" When I got my Lego freight train set as a child many years ago, I used to put bricks and books under my track to turn it into a roller coaster. Since then I have always wanted a proper Lego roller coaster set.
The set can be built in two halves at the same time. I have experienced this in other sets and it should be advertised because it makes building with a friend or family member so much easier and more fun. I built this with my partner and we clipped the two halves of the ride together at the end.
Luckily I already had some medium power function motors handy, so I used one to power the chain lift and rollers. I powered the motor with the train controller from my childhood train set.
The set has a lot of play value as it comes with a load of mini figures, some stalls and the ride platform. Cars can be stopped and started from the ride platform using the tyre mechanism. If un-motorised, the chain lift can also be hand cranked which adds to the fun.
The only con to this set is the usual one where it has some stickers instead of printed bricks. Given the price of the set it should have been all printed bricks.
The model is huge and impressive to look at, making it both a great standalone piece or a standout part of a fairground. Overall I am very impressed with this set and have had great fun making and playing with it! "

Great play experience from the technical functions
" Its a rare thing to see a hovercraft model in any form nowadays so I was excited to get my hands on this set.
The set is a good size and represents a cargo hovercraft with flat deck for loading items on.
I was really impressed by how good the technical functions are on the set. I was not expecting the propellers to spin and the shafts to turn as it is pushed along the ground. This is a great feature from a play experience perspective as it brings the hovercraft alive as its pushed around.
The gearing for these functions made the build more interesting and exciting to see how it all works together at the end.
The ramp which can be raised and lowered to load / unload the truck works well and also adds to the experience.
If I had one little niggle with the set it would be the corners of the skirts have large holes when looking at it from above. This is not a massive deal but it would have been nice to see these partially filled in somehow.
All in all a great set especially for a hovercraft fan like me. "

Easy to use and look great
" I brought a set of these to use on my Technic truck. They are very easy to use and look great. They have a good level of brightness and are a reasonably priced way of adding additional functionality to an existing model. "

Interesting build and decent RC truck
" This is the biggest Technic set I have tacked since the space shuttle decades ago. Following on from the Tracked Racer last year this is my second Technic RC.
The build took a long time and was a good challenge. It has a lot of pieces and some complex gearing mechanisms that require concentration and are very interesting to put together. I kept double checking the gears as I was building the model wondering if I had made a mistake but it turned out fine.
Learning how the gears all work together and switch between the different functions was the most fun part of the build and I found this rewarding in itself. It is great to see things like proper differentials making it into a Lego model.
The finished model looks great. I love the blue colour but did not like the dark dishes for the wheels so I left them yellow. I think the blue and yellow go together well. The bear on the front is a nice touch and the chains add to the scale look of the model.
The engine although a little small for the truck has pistons that move as the truck moves which I thought was a nice touch.
I do think more could be done with the bed at the back of the truck. I see the advantage of leaving it open so that the gears can be seen but a removable flat cover so things could be loaded onto it would have been nice.
As for the motorized side of things the truck moves and turns well enough and can navigate over some small dips and bumps. The outriggers and crane all operate smoothly but you do need to flick a switch on the model to switch between these modes.
If I had any suggestions regarding the motorized side of the model it would be that the drive train could do with a little more grunt. As I said with the Tracked Racer I would also like to see Lego offer an 2.4Ghz alternative to the IR transmitter and receivers at some point.
All in all this is one of my favorite builds of recent years. It was fun and challenging to build as well as a great model to play with afterwards. "

Great reasonably priced RC tracked vehicle
" Being a fan of RC, tanks and Lego this was an ideal set for me.
I have built many RC kits over the years and the simplicity of Lego click together electronics is a nice change from soldering everything together.
The build time was quick and the set was easy to put together.
There are two models you can build and both look equally great.
I have some slow RC tanks and was looking for a tracked vehicle with a bit more speed.
The only negative for me is it is not quite as fast as I thought it would be. That said for a Lego kit the performance is still impressive.
Another thing I like which really adds to tracked vehicles are the tank controls where each stick controls a track independently. This is much more fun than other rc tracked vehicles which use standard turn left/right setups just like a car.
Overall I am very happy with this set and hope to see more RC sets in the future.
It would be great if Lego started using 2.4Ghz radio for their rc equipment and maybe offer it as an upgrade to infrared sets.
This set also comes with a brick celebrating 40 years of Lego Technic which you can see in the photos. "

Great looking kit and fun to build
" I build this over a few evenings and had great fun doing so.
The build is interesting and unlike anything else I have made so far. This is mainly because of the way the circular structure of the ship is made. There are lots of interesting ideas at play in this kit and it was fun seeing how it goes together.
The kit comes with plenty of figures including a good chunk of the key Force Awakens characters.
The ship looks great on the outside but also has a detailed interior. There is also plenty of space to stand figures inside the ship. I plan to use it to store all of my star wars advent calendar figures.
I think this is certainly a centre piece of the star wars sets and is big enough to give a someone plenty to play with.
The only thing I wished this kit to had would be some led lighting for the cockpit and exhaust. "
