OMG, LEGO give this guy a job!
" Not sure what I can say that others haven’t said before me. Give this guy a job!
I LOVED this set, and I’m not really a big collector of the city type kits. It just looked so interesting that I couldn’t resist. It also sits well with a few of the other beach type sets I have.
When building this set I had so much fun. The level of detail is incredible. None of the steps felt repetitive. It’s just awesome.
Playability. Wow. Just wow. It’s so well thought out. Big sections come off easily to allow fingers access without compromising structure of the overall look of the piece. It’s also great for display. I can’t wait to start taking some photos of the little guys running the store. I think all that is missing is a small fishing dinghy :)
Just get on and buy it! Little people will need help though as the build is tricky in that you need to pay attention to the steps, but well explained. I did have a “But you never have a 1x2 plate spare... where the...? Doh!” moment, followed by some tricky disassembly to add the part where it should be ;)

Stunning kit
" I had an original Mattel speeder bike as a kid and it was one of my favourite Star Wars toys. The lego versions have not lost their appeal. I am not a big collector of these buildable figures, but once I saw the speeder bike, I just had to build one!
I chose to build this today as an easy way to relax having been off work with flu. What I was not expecting was the level of difficulty that the bike has. Admittedly I’m not too well so concentration was lacking, but there were a few places that I really had to study the instructions. The technic build has some really nice techniques to it.
Overall, I’d really recommend this to anyone. Younger people will need a little help for certain parts of the build.
From a play aspect, it is a shame that the stand can’t be removed for “swooshing”. I think that would have made the model that little bit more special.
It’s a great set to display. I do agree with a previous reviewer in that it would have been fantastic if the stand could be made from transparent pieces. I find myself regularly wishing that I could get transparent stands for many of my “flyers” throughout the lego range and this is no exception. It’d really elevate the model as a display piece.
