You can make a racquet shape as the one I'm showing. This way the train goes back to the same track and you save lots of meters - or yards, if you will - of tracks!
Having said this, I do have some thoughts... Why does it come with curve tracks???? Aside of Emerald Night and Maersk, you get them with any train set!!! Add straight track instead of curved! That's why I give it 4/5 and not 5/5"

straight track!
"I like the idea of the flexible track; it can be used to fill some spaces and angles that would otherwise be difficult. Also, you may use it as either straight or curved track, but it's too much!
If it were 10 straight tracks instead of eight and 8 flexible tracks instead of 16, it would be more than enough for collector and, probably cheaper for LEGO!
The flexible track makes your trains to lose traction and deviate. If you use full loops and disperse the flexible track, the problem gets smaller but it is still there!"

Fast but clumsy
"Well, I had not collected any more trains sice 2001 until this one, but I think that the PF is pretty cool: It was fast (faster than 9v) and you can control different trains! it has a lot of track, which is appreciated.
Pros:
Lots of track (compared to other sets) Fast (it will come off the rails in a curve!) independent You can adapt the cars easily to make them carry something else
Cons:
Battery doesn't last too long It goes off the rails or slackens on the flexible track On flexible track, it also has a bad time pulling or pushing (no traction) Comes with no lights One car comes with one red box that easily detaches but only one yellow bow (half the size of the other one). Too many polybags!!!! Stamps. I hate stamps! Sometimes the IR doesn't seem to be received well, so the train may not stop, and when you keep rolling on the control, it goes backwards! Magnets are greatly inferior to those of 9v era; they often lose "magnetic grip" and leave other wagons, especially if there are more than a few.
in conclusion, it's pretty cool and worth having, but could be better..."
