"Like WoW, Scoob!"
" I was admittedly skeptical when I saw that Scooby Doo is now a LEGO theme, having forgotten how much I did enjoy the original Scooby cartoon as a kid, but this set got me pretty excited to check out the other sets in the theme.
It's a nice small set to test out if you're on the fence about it (like I was). The biplane is a nice change from the common jet planes in a lot of recent sets. I found the color scheme, matching the Mystery Machine van, was really aesthetically pleasing and fun. The Headless Horseman is one of my all-time favorite minifigs yet, really nicely done.
I enjoyed building this set so much I honestly kept saying "Like Wow, Scoob!" in my best Shaggy voice... Now I really want to go watch reruns of the original series. Well played, LEGO, well played. "

Some Minor Flaws But Still Nice Set
" This set has a few minor issues, but overall I still really like it.
First off, the Invisible Jet has no landing gear at all. I understand wanting to keep a jet that is supported to be invisible as low profile as possible, but I was surprised there was no landing gear. It just feels kind of odd to have the plane rest entirely on its belly.
Secondly, the "BananaCo" logo on the little truck is applied to a 1x3 tile that goes over a 1x4 space, so it's purposely askew of center. It looks odd and there's no functional reason for it. It should have been a 1x4 tile.
There are also some minor range of motion issues with the Bat-Mech; a few pieces that look cool but don't really do anything restrict the range of motion of the chest plate and the way the right arm is supposed to attach (according to the instructions and the picture above) restrict the range of motion of that arm. I attached the arm slightly differently and it moves much better and still looks right.
With all that being said, I still really like this set a lot. The jet's inverted wing design looks great and other than the landing gear issue, I think it's a great piece; plus it has those nice spring-fire missiles. The Bat-Mech is even better. FANTASTIC idea and concept behind it, and it's very well executed even with the minor range of motion issues described above. The arms and legs are very well articulated and stud shooters and net-launcher work nicely.
I also really like the minifigs in this set. Batman is pretty standard and the truck driver is generic other than the BananaCo logo on his clothes, but Wonder Woman, Flash, and Captain Cold are really nice. The moulds for their respective head pieces are great.
PROS:
-Great minifigs
-Cool Invisible Jet
-Bat-Mech.... no really BAT-MECH!!!! Woo
CONS:
-Jet has no landing gear
-Truck has off-center logo piece for no apparent reason
-Bat-Mech has minor range of motion issues
I would definitely recommend this set. Just don't expect it to be perfect. It's still very charming, despite it's flaws. And really, who among us can say we're perfect? :) "

Surprisingly GREAT Set
" When I first saw this set, I thought it was probably too small and basic to really be that cool. WOW! I was wrong. I ended up buying this in a store on a whim because I just really liked the look of the SHIELD ship and as soon as I started leafing through the parts and manual I knew it was a much better set than I had originally expected...
The ship is extremely well thought out with a lot of cool little details that you wouldn't really expect to see in such a small set. This has actually become one of my favorite sets to date. "

Build is Slightly Rickety, but Love That Skull
" Overall, this is another great set, especially for the price.
Two minor cons:
a) I've noticed a common theme is that most of these sets have bracing pieces strategically placed to give the final set/unit a nice sturdy feel. This one felt noticeably flimsy and as I built it, I noticed a few places there were no bracing pieces that I really expected there to be.
b) I really would have loved it if the designs on the gray circular base were printed instead of being stickers. I have big semi-clumsy hands and it's a little tough placing stickers just right. That being said, these stickers are easier than average to place right because there nice and big.
Those are admittedly nit-picky little complaints. I really like the way the skull piece on the front of Brainiac's ship looks - so cool! I would definitely recommend this set. "

One of My Favorite Builds Yet
" I just recently got back into LEGO after getting away from it when I became "too old" for such things as an adolescent. In the last couple of months I've collected about 40 sets and this one is arguably my favorite build so far!
The space ship is really well designed and looks very cool. The weapons really fire and they're quite effective. My finger slipped and I accidentally fired one of the larger missiles, launching it across the room.
Anyway, I design software for a living, so I've come to really appreciate things that are very well thought out and have a clever design behind them and this set screams that. I'm very impressed with it and highly recommend this set. "
