Calling all Officers
" I bought this for my son about 5 months ago and finally got to give it to him for the summer holidays. needless to say he loves it.
The set goes together really nicely, the corner details on the office look great and work really well. There is a vehicle launcher to give the police car a fast start.
The mechanism for blowing off the front of the cell wall is a great addition and whilst I first thought that the front wall was going to be falling off all the time, it actually staying in place really well.
I think I would have liked to see the corner office being a little bigger so that the helicopter had a full landing pad as in Police Station 60047, rather than hanging off the back slightly.
There is also a small issue with the helicopter, if you spin the main blades and the tail rotor they will catch on each other, this could be easily solved by either making the blades one stud shorter or inserting an additional 2x2 thin under the rotor housing.
One thing I really like, is that unlike the Firestation 60110 which is also on a corner, there is no angled joints, so this set is much much easier to place into a street scene, and combine into a MOC larger police station.
It would be amazing if there was a custom baseplate so that the car can be shot out onto a road. (food for thought there Lego) "

All Aboard... Bus to brick central
" As soon as I saw this model I knew I had to have it in my collection and it has not disappointed.
Build time is roughly 6 hours (3-4 sessions of 1.5hours each) I built this over a period of a few days.
Very good level of detail, including stickers of the seats to show a little wear/dirt. plenty of stickers (though I do question why these were not just printed direct onto the signs)
The area around the driver is a little fiddly, but generally good fun.
The top deck is designed to be removed, which makes it a little fragile during the building process, but it is solid once built. I've found it does not connect snugly as its only connected via a few dots. Likewise the roof comes off very easily and so does not connect quite as snuggly as you might hope.
Down side, there are no passengers included, not even a driver (which you would expect) however I will be displaying it with Lester so its not the end of the world.
The only other slightly awkward item is the wing mirrors, they could do with sitting a little lower, but I'm going to see whether I can modify it to drop those down slightly.
Please Lego, add some figures and this set would go from excellent to downright amazing! "

Enjoyable build.... but
" This is a good (not so) little set, just over 950 pieces and one built is quite a substantial size (these are all plus points for me)
Set includes a decent fire-engine, fire car, helicopter and extra scene items.
It was purchased for my fire-engine/lego mad 4.5 year old son, though I did most of the building on his behalf as the buildings are quite challenging to put together and parts of the fire engine can be fiddly. Though now he is 5 he can build most of these items himself.
The reason I've marked this set down is because of the way it clips together, on each side are an angled piece that sits at the top and bottom of a door frame, these are integral to the sides of the section but does not mean that the sections need to be clipped together. When you do clip the sections together you need to locate and push 4 joining pins through a quite fragile side section of each building. this fixes the whole set together in a rather awkward angle, that then does not work with any street scene or city layout.
In the end I modified the buildings to allow them to be joined in one long line.
I think that some lessons need to be learnt from the police station and then applied to this set to make it easier to incorporate into a street scene "

Police, camera .... escape.
" I purchased this set last year for my youngest son who is not just Lego mad but also loves anything Emergency service related. It was purchased alongside the Lego Firestation 60110.
(Please Note that this set has been replaced with 60141)
Anyway we just gave it to him for his birthday and he loves it!
There is a really good number of pieces and stickers with the set, and they all go together fairly easily so it takes just over an hour to build everything.
You get a three part police station, Two cars, the helicopter and police bike. there are also quite a few figurines
The finished set clips together very neatly and the cat walk is a nice finishing touch. (unlike the firestation, which clips together at weird angles and needs modifying to form a street scene) and works nicely as part of a street scene.
there are plenty of nice little touches, the hidden trap doors, and jail windows that can be easily pulled out.
Overall a really nice little set and great fun for my kids, I'm even considering getting the newer 60141 set and joining them together for a bigger police station. After all what could be more fun than two helicopters?
overall score: I'd give it 10/10. "

Great Build, Great Value for Money
" Its a Ferrari, and Its red.
The designers have done an amazing job with this car, my first thought when i received the box and opened it was how on earth are all these pieces going to make just one car.
There are a lot of pieces, but that makes this set incredible value and the build is a just beautiful. The set includes a good variety of standard lego with a few very important pieces from the technical range.
First stages allow you to put together the super structure of the car frame, which is rock solid (good luck taking it apart again!)
Then there is the incredibly detailed engine, and body work with moving lights and body panels.
I split the build over two nights with a gap between, but it could be leisurely built in one evening, suggest allowing 4 hours.
Included within the box are two green pieces that are basically used to stop the car moving whilst your building it, but the finished profile is so low that you can leave these on should you wish to display the model.
The finished car is heavy, all those pieces do come together to form a very solid car, the only weak area seems to be one of the bumpers and inexplicably one of my head lights did pop out and was extremely difficult to re-install without taking that part of the car to pieces again.
I'd definitely recommend this model to anyone considering it, its robust enough to be handled and played with by the kids providing you don't mind fixing the bumper occasionally, or would suit being displayed as part of collection. "

Fantastic Little Build
" I have to say that there are a lot of very positive things to say about this model, so apologies if I miss any out.
Firstly there is very little repetition within the model, its complex and somewhat challenging in places, and there are times when it feels like its going to be very fragile when complete but generally it comes together as a good solid build.
At 770 pieces its going to take a little time to put together, it took me less than 3 hours whilst watching TV.
There is plenty of detail and i particularly like the way that the front end, engine and cockpit comes together, all the pieces are printed rather than stickers which is a god send.
The cockpit is a little fiddly but is worth it for the detail, and the finished model will move freely once complete.
Gripes, well two little gripes. 1st the end of the exhaust is prone to dropping off whilst handling the finished model. 2nd it is supplied with four stands with little smooth 2x2 plates to allow the model to be raised on a display. Personally I've found these less than satisfactory and would have preferred to have the four stands attaching to two longer plates or accept that there was no stand at all.
Overall a brilliant little build and is worthy of any lego collection. "
