"This set is a great buy even if its a bit expensive. The amount of detail, minifigures and the size of the building make up for the cost. The big tan steps outside the hall leading up to the immense green doors nestled between impressive columns give the visitor or politician a welcoming start to the day. Once inside, the happy minifigure can take part in a public debate or wedding ceremony before paying his taxes in the office to the right. A fully functional elevator leads up the various floors. Unfortunately the elevator is not enclosed presenting an extreme danger the minifigures. The mayors office is well planned although the secretary has a very small desk. On the top floor a conference hall is well designed with a very large table. On the roof a magnificent bell tower looms over the whole town. Two enormous skylights let the perfect amount of light into the atrium. The facade of the building flows nicely and looks great. The building resembles a combination of the Grand Emporium and Fire Brigade with its own unique style.
In conclusion this is a perfect purchase for any modular collector."
"This set is an excellent purchase that I would recommend to a friend. It includes most of the main features of the house from the bridge to the expansive terraces that overlook a well created river that adds a sort of playfulness to the overall building. It would have been an added bonus to have the bridge to the guest house but even without it this set perfect.
Overall a great buy that is perfect for any Frank Lloyd Wright or Lego fan."
"I watched a presentation on RCMP dogs here in Canada and this set is fairly realistic. I am very happy I purchased this set. The only problem I have is that there are no studs in the dog compartment. PROS: -realistic dog -officer -overall truck -realism CONS:-no studs in back of truck -difficult stickers Overall an awesome purchase!"
"I got this free at the Lego Store as a promotion. I don't think the price is quite right. A little less expensive and it would be a steal. PROS -Ice cubes look great -Easy to remove ice -Can be used for other liquids as well CONS -Expensive -Floppy when filling it Overall a good purchase."
"This set is a great buy (even if the pricing between Canada and U.S.A. is off) and I would recommend it to any fan of LEGO. The brownstone house includes a large crawl space, trap and cellar doors, couch table and phone. Tucked away under the stairs is a toilet (but no sink). A hat rack finishes off the ground floor. The second floor includes a painter and spiral stairs that are well designed. The attic has brilliant french doors a rooftop garden complete with plants. The missing plants on the balcony can be created with leftover pieces. The pet shop has walls made of a wonderful blue. The tiles brighten the shop up. There is a cat and a dog. A pet shop would have more of these but the other animals make up for this. The other animals are a huge goldfish and two very cool parrots. A mouse hole keeps the cat busy. Up the stairs to the apartment there is a mailbox. In the apartment itself is a kitchen and a fire place. A chair and table make it feel more like home. In the loft is a bed and a lamp as well as a smaller version of the Grand Emporium's sky light. The minifigures are well designed. The painter is complete with a bucket of paint, a roller, and a paint tray. The woman and her child are prepared to shop at the local Pet Shop. The man who appears to be the owner of the Pet Shop is ready to add to the hundred dollar bill all ready in the cash register. In conclusion this set is a 10 out of 10."
