A Classic Re imagined
" A soon as I saw that Lego was deciding to turn The steamboat Willie project into a set I was ecstatic. I am a huge animation and Lego fan. The redesign of this set is truly extraordinary. The set was larger than I expected and is built solidly as well. The build was an average difficulty although the internal mechanisms required a little finicking to get working right. All of the parts come together well and I particularly love the shaping of the hull. Its clipped on upside down and seeing it all come together is satisfying. The gray scale color scheme works surprisingly well and really gives off the essence of its source material. The mini figures are stellar. Mickey and Minnie look stunning with the silver accents (although mine did come with a scuff in paint on the foot). The play ability is also very well implemented. the crane and included bins are all able to be picked up. and the wheels and mechanisms inside work very well to turn the paddles and move the smokestacks. As a Disney nerd I am very pleased to see all of the references big and small to the cartoon. clearly a lot of time was put into making this set as authentic as possible. The only things missing are Pete and the goat. The only negative in my opinion is the price. If you are a hardcore Disney fan definitely pick this up as it makes for a great display piece.

great, original and fun.
" I love the ideas line of sets and this one met my expectations. the pop up function woks without a hitch and surprises anybody you show. it makes for a great display piece both open and closed and the entire set invites customization. I love the Jack and the beanstalk scene and the Little red riding hood diorama has a lot of play value and detail. The only negatives with the set for would be the lack of a standard wolf without the grandma disguise. and also the removal of the latch that keeps the book closed. that however can be easily customized. Overall a great set that kids and adults can have fun with.

great vehicle!!!!!!
" This is a great purchase. The build was surprisingly challenging and the blue and transparent orange reminds me of some older space themes. The horse itself is executed nicely but the back legs are attached to each other and that kind of ruins the illusion that it is a horse the transformation is fast and the motorcycle looks awesome the lance figure is cool the mew aromor is a nice mild. The flame thrower minifigure is pretty lame but the Lancelot makes up for it he is my favourite part of the set
