Small but very detailed
" I got this to go with my camping collection (CMF S16 Hiker and Friends Adventure Camp).
The build was very detailed; LEGO has a habit of that and I love it. I suppose the 1x1 round plates on headflight bricks were to simulare the ends of logs
The model did feel small though. Often a bunch of tiny pieces make a set sound larger than it is because of the high piececount.
The bed was covered in tiles so the figure wouldn't stay put when laid down on it. I expect that from minidoll sets, not minifigure ones. As with minidoll sets, I didn't use the tiles. However, I liked Slope 30 1x2x2/3 (part 85984) as a pillow. The yellow chair outside did not have this problem.
A flower in 2x2 round tile with hole (part 15535) was a great lilypad. I didn't like the same flower piece in a frying pan, presumably representing scrambled eggs. It looks nice but won't stay put, could get lost if the model doesn't stay level. Kitchen accoutrements in LEGO sets are often like that.
The roof could be built before attaching to the cabin walls.
The hinges were good to open the model for display and play.
I don't like it at full price, but it was fine on sale.

Fun novelty for the deep discount
" It holds about a cup or quarter liter. For some drinks that's a reasonable quantity, so OK. However, the handle is only long enough for about 2 fingers. The plastic is sturdy; should be dishwasher safe (at least top rack), but I handwashed it. "

Many great design elements
" This set had a lot of good parts and looked good as a whole.
The plate is sturdier than a baseplate. Its bottom pattern is different from smaller plates, probably to manage the size.
I particularly liked the spotlights. The black stickers blended in well with the black background. The scaffolding is a part I've seen before, but not often. The speakers are a common design in Friends music sets, but I like the color scheme here and using a jumper plate to angle them. That being the same color as the base means it blends in well. The podium and trophy reminds me of 30205 Pop Star Red Carpet in a good way.
The 1x2x5 in transparent blue is striking from both sides and works for either. The mechanism turns fairly smoothly. The giant water jets are cool either foreground or background. For production reasons, it makes sense to use a flame mold in a different color. I liked having some detail and working movement on the camera cart.
As usual, I had no trouble following set instructions. It's often a bit hard to align stickers, but especially so for the recessed white panel here. "

Great introduction to the Pop Star subtheme
" I was interested in this set because the theme reminded me of my Lady Gaga phase. The dog is a cute touch by itself and reminds me of hers. The arch looked novel. It got me interested in more of the series.
I love the packaging. The contours on the end and the shinier printing in some places stand out. I can open one end without destroying the box. This was the first set with numbered bags I built, which really does help organize. I wish the instructions laid flat. It was cute to show a minidoll opening the set. Much of this also goes for other LEGO packaging and instructions.
There were a lot of cool pieces, but many small or limited use ones. I like the more realistic look of Friends minis, though I wish they would stay put sitting down, and it was a bit hard to attach both skirt tabs.
It was fun and not too easy or hard to build, but I have some minor problems with the design.
Overall, the mirror area was too crowded, especially with pick up and put down of items in the finished space. Why couldn't the cabinet have two drawers? I ended up with a lot of loose accessories. The chair can't turn fully with the cabinet in the way and the counter immediately above it. I decided to move the chair one stud to the left and raise the counter by one plate. I would have liked more color on the chair. The back wall used multiple small pieces where fewer large ones would have fit. I especially would've liked some 2x2 corners instead of more 1x1's and 1x2's.
The stickers could be hard to align.
When folded, the model was easy to carry and looked good when not in use. The different ways of unfolding should expand play options. "

Good value and clever design
" This was a good deal on another good Friends Pop Star set.
The limo itself was very detailed and well designed. I'm reminded of 41100 Heartlake Private Jet. However, that had no pilot and this has no driver. I particularly liked the working trunk and 4 footrests. Two minidolls can sit down right next to each other. I also liked the 1x1 round tiles instead of 1x1 round plates since those are so common. Pearl gold instead of white wheels was also a nice touch.
1x2's under the edge of the red carpet (instead of big plates under the whole thing) was a good way to make that section wider. It would be easy to make it longer with multiple copies of the set or loose parts.
As usual, minidolls don't sit down well, so I removed the tiles and had them stand in the chairs. Putting a wheelbase on its side was one of many clever design decisions. The angled backdrop was unique, especially the embedded stars. Different layers of plates were a good way to do the steps.
I also liked the building around the classic camera piece. The bouquet and bouquet holder were a bit fragile together. "
