Interesting...
" I got Pohatu with a handful of other toa from toys r' us.
Pohatu is interesting to say the least. I'll start with the positives, Pohatu's mask looks great, it's one of the best masks of this wave. Pohatu's weapon is also interesting, as it has the old ball piece from his 2001 set recolored, the ball swing when the action feature is used, which is oddly amusing. Also the gear function works wonderfully with enough friction to hold it in place. The pose options of Pohatu are also amazing, due to the amount of articulation in his arms, shoulders, and legs, he can pull off some amazing poses. The cons of Pohatu are mainly his color scheme and his somewhat odd build. The color scheme of tan, burnt orange, brown, and neon green is really overwhelming, it almost feels like it all just kinda got thrown together without rhyme or reason. Also the build, while very poseable, is somewhat awkward in places, specifically his arms, they are attached to his shoulders oddly, however build aside this isn't a huge problem.
Pohatu isn't the worst set, and I can say I do recommend him, but get him last, as he's not an amazing set either.

One of the weaker sets
" I found some of these sets in toys r' us. I picked up Onua, Lewa, Kopaka, and Pohatu.
Kopaka (and Melum) was one of my choices because he was always my favorite toa. Since this contains two different figures I will review them separately.
Melum is the creature that came with this set, I think he's supposed to be some kind of mole. Anyway Melum is alright, his gear function works well, the "hugging" action is quite amusing too. Melum's biggest problem is the fact that his legs are so short that it limits his pose options. Other than than Melum looks okay.
Kopaka however is a different story. I'll start with the positives: Kopaka's mask looks great, I like how you have the option to change the eye piece in his telescope eye. Also his weapons, despite being an odd choice for Kopaka, look cool. The waist function also works well, having enough friction to stay in place unless you want to move it. However that's where the positives end, Kopaka first off, looks weird, being a odd mix of cyan, gold, silver, dark blue, and occasional green, the gold mask helps balance things out a bit, but it isn't enough to make the set look coherent. I'm guessing they wanted you to combine him with Melum, however the set should be able to have some coherency on it's own. Kopaka also has a problem with his shoulders, where they are constructed in a way that limits posing. Lewa had a similar problem however his was negated by the fact that his arms could still have some unique poses. With Kopaka moving the arms inward and outward is next to impossible, meaning unique poses are out of the question.
Overall I can't say I recommend this set, it's not the worst set of this wave, but I think there are better. Melum is nice, but he's not enough to redeem the set.

A great set
" I saw some of these sets in toys r' us the ones I purchased included Onua, Lewa, Pohatu, and Kopaka.
What can I say about Onua other than I really love this set. His drill-hammer looks fantastic. The shooter feature works well and works with the overall hammer aesthetic. The overall appearance of the set looks great, the black, purple, and gold work exceedingly well together, the mask also looks fantastic, and the gold one actually works very well with the overall aesthetic. The waist function works very well, there is enough friction that the waist will not move unless you want it too. the only complaint I have is Onua looks gappy in some areas, however, this is a small problem that really doesn't hinder the set much, if at all. I highly recommend Onua as "must-have" from this wave.

Strong, but a little flawed.
" I saw some of these sets at the local toys r' us and decided to get some, as I have been a Bionicle fan for a long time a thoroughly enjoyed the 2015 sets. The ones I picked up included Lewa, Onua, Pohatu, and Kopaka.
Lewa's looks by himself caught my attention, he looks great. The weapons and mask are very nice as well, the tonfas work surprisingly well with him. His leg construction is also nice, it's unique without taking away from the set. And his gear function works very well, the friction is good and the tonfas make for all sorts of fun battle poses.
However, his biggest flaw is his shoulders, they way they're constructed limits movement back and forth. However, the shoulders do have an upside as they also allow some occasional unique poses. Overall, they're not a huge problem, but there is defiantly some issue there.
I can say I would recommend Lewa, maybe not as a "must-have" but in my opinion he is worth the money.
