Better set if you combine two or more of them.
" I understand that for $25 MSRP this is about the amount of pieces you get in a LEGO set, but it's not quite adequate as a library or an addition to the Fortex as it is. It should have been at least twice as big. With that being said, there's nothing stopping you from combining two of them. This would allow you to increase the size of the walls, make two towers, or just improve the existing tower. You can get creative with how you arrange it. With three sets you might even be able to create a proper castle. It's actually kind of fun to imagine the best way to go about doing that kind of thing, but of course, your money could probably just be spent on a better set to begin with. Your first order of business if you like castles would be to get the Fortrex.
I do like the exclusive girl minifig that comes with set. Her hair piece is well done. Women in NEXO Knights seem to be a little too scarce.

Excellent details
" I had been looking forward to the bank to give all my Lego criminals a place to hang out. This is my fifth modular now, and I think it's almost on par with the legendary Parisian Restaurant. The other recent corner building, the theater, was a massive building with an excellent exterior, but a somewhat of a lacking interior. The bank sacrifices some of the stature for more details, and I think it pays off. I love that the designers gave robbers a path to the safe from the roof, how the laundromat connects to the safe, and how you can remove small pieces of the back wall to play with the set more easily. The building just looks great inside and out. There were a couple of building techniques I hadn't seen before, too, like the skylight, chandelier, and the always-clever decorations used on the roof. Seriously, Lego designers are just geniuses when it comes to these roofs.

My first expert modular
" As my son gets older, I've been shopping for more and more Lego products, so it was only a matter of time before I would end up getting a nice large set like this. I've noticed that a lot of people compare this set unfavorably to the others, but I looked at all the sets, and this was the coolest looking to me. I like that it looks like a city block with a combination of businesses and rooms that could serve as small apartments. It is a little hard to play in the rooms, but I much prefer the realism of the enclosed rooms than having an open back like in the normal City sets. In the end, I really just like the idea of there being an actual Lego city to go along with the myriad of police and fire sets that my son is sure to get as gifts. To that end, I'd rather get more basic city buildings first. The Pet Shop will be my next expert modular for that reason. My suggestion on the feedback survery was for there to be a mansion or apartment building. Make no mistake, though, this set really does look extremely nice, and is the best looking set I ever owned. If the others look better I'll be pretty happy.

One of my favorite small sets
" I loved this thing immediately. A functional Lego catapult is a great idea, and you also get one of the functional crossbows. I was happy to see a couple more catapults on the Jestro Evil Mobile. I feel like the catapults really give the monster army a nice boost. You could very easily knock some Nexo Knights off their perch with this. It also looks pretty cool and fits the theme perfectly. For a small set you can't do much better.

Very cool figure
" Lavaria was my first Nexo Knight set, and is an awesome figure. Her 4-legged vehicle thing makes her even cooler. The only question is whether the set is a good value, especially because I just toss the display pieces in a bag for spare parts. Lavaria stands perfectly well on her own, so there's no need for anything to put her on, especially if you're going to have kids playing with her. That all being said, I still do recommend the set to Nexo Knights fans. As I got more sets, I realized that the bad guys need all the help they can get against the might of the Fortrex.
I would also add that the reason I got Lavaria first is because, like others, I want to support having an equal number of female characters. I don't think her being a woman in any way makes her less cool for a boy.

Awesome moving parts; very creative design.
" Simply an awesome set. The amount of moving parts and the creativity of the builds on these Nexo Knights sets is just amazing. I love how the mouth moves as the wheels turn. The catapults work really well and shoot pieces just far enough. The monster that pulls the whole thing is one of the best figures, with 8 ball hinges to move the arms and legs, and movable fingers. As you can see in my picture, I also gave it a lance because I had some extra pieces to do that with. I'm not sure if this evil mobile can take on the Fortrex, but it's certainly formidable in its own right.

It puts my childhood castle sets to shame.
" My son is still too young for this, so I got this set for myself to relive my childhood a bit. I used to play with Lego castle sets, and this looked like the closest thing in stores right now. This thing is just incredible. All the functional moving parts are impressive: the working Lego guns, moving turrets, functional treads, and the mechanism to open it up are. The way the drawbridge functions is genius compared to my old string-based ones. The set is about double the number of pieces I used to get in even the largest castles, which makes sense given the intricacy of all the parts. The pictures don't even do it justice because there's so much you can't see from just one angle. I'm looking forward to what's next for the Nexo Knights!
