Nostalgia
" This set is unique for me, in that I actually have a hard time telling someone how I feel about it. It was an easy build, and has some nice details for such a small set, but really, this set is the embodiment of nostalgia for me. Somehow, this set recalls to me the sets I spent the late 80 and early 90s playing with, and whenever I look at it, I can't help but want to open my bins that hold a lifetime of collecting, and just start racing them around the room. Whatever Lego did here, they got it right in a way that very few have

Great little set
" This is one of my favorite sets in my collection. As a long time rally fan, and more recently competitor, seeing a mini-fig scale rally car was wonderful, and it doesn't disappoint. The body lines, the front light rails, even the huge wing, all manage to give it the feel of a rally machine, without being specific enough to define it as any particular make or model... However, I have to agree with another commenter that the set is lacking a rear plate, and while it does not detract from the set, it's inclusion is one of those little surprise details that we have come to expect from Lego. Honestly hope this is a sign to come, and that we will be seeing more sets like this in the future, especially in the Speed Champions side.

Versatile set
" Let me start by saying this was the set that started the Minecraft addiction for me. I avoided them and avoided them, then ran across this one on clearance, and now I can't stop. This particular set has a wonderful collection of figures, especially the animals(even for a guy named Steve, I have too many Steves now). Construction was a breeze, and I can easily see this set becoming a portion of any number of dioramas(City and Minecraft collections, or even the old Castle line). This is truly a wonderful set, and to date, is the highlight of my Minecraft collection.

Perfect Minecraft starter set
" For anyone considering a Minecraft set, this is the PERFECT one to start with. Currently, it is on the cheapest end of the cost scale, and it does a wonderful job of demonstrating all of the pros and cons of the theme. There are sections of it that will want to collapse if you look at it angrily, or kindly for that matter. There is a wonderful assortment of pieces, giving you lava, water, TNT, and my personal favorite, the spider(with a rather clever method of construction). Also, if you have "The Dungeon", the two sets attach to eachother with very minimal reconstruction, and when completed, flow together seamlessly. It also does a wonderful job of conveying the mood of Minecraft. Truly a wonderful set.

Not as bad as people make it seem
" If you have not yet built a Minecraft themed set, let me start by suggesting you look elsewhere. That being said, this makes for a wonderful addition to an existing collection. A number of individuals have commented on it's frailty, but to be honest, it is no worse than any of the other sets in the theme, owing to the modular method of construction. A simple fix for this is to add it, along with any other sets you have, to a baseplate(or several as the collection grows). This actually leads into what I feel is the biggest drawback of the set, which is that the drop away wall/floor mechanism only works on a smooth flat surface. Without building a sub-structure, when the set is placed on a baseplate, this mechanism will not allow the floor to sit flat. Otherwise, it makes a fine addition to any Minecraft collection, succesfully embodying the direction of both the Lego vision for the line, as well as that of it's namesake.
