 LEGO Vehicles: Tractor with Trailer
LEGO Vehicles: Tractor with Trailer
This detailed LEGO Technic model is packed with realistic features and functions! Turn the top gear-wheel to steer the front wheels, then push the tractor forward or backwards to make the pistons in the engine beneath its opening hood move in and out. Turn the back gear to raise or lower the lifting arms, spin the side gear to tip the trailer, and even switch the rotating rear transmission axle on or off! Tractor features opening hood, turn gear mechanism, moving pistons and more! Trailer has turn gear tipping function! Trailer is 15.5" (39cm) long! Tractor dimensions: 11" (27cm) x 7" (17cm) x 7.5" (19cm)!

Pretty Good
" Like most LEGO Technic sets, this is great. The tractor is bassically the same as the one from 2006 (8284) which was a work of art. The tractor itself is pretty much the same except for a couple of minor changes that make it possible to hook up the trailer. The trailer though has some flaws. The concept of the trailer is amazing. The only problems I have with it is that the sides are very low and there is no back gate to hold everything in when you are driving. Other wise the trailer is pretty good. The color schem of the trailer is also very nice. The last time I saw the dark green used in a lego set was in the tiny green tractor a couple of years back. The B model is really wierd and I think that it could have used some more thought.
Pros
Great model reintroduced
Great color scheme
Nice assortment of wheels
Great attention to detail
Cons
Trialer walls are low
No back gate to trailer
The B model is poorly thought out
Price is a little steep

One Word: Awesome
" This may be one of the best LEGO Technic models ever built. This model is one of the biggest that I have ever built. It may look small on the picture, but in real life this model is huge. It dwarfs all other LEGO Technic trucks. This model is also challenging to build. This was model was almost as hard to build as the Mobile Crane (8421) which was a very challenging build. If you like to challenge yourself, this is a great model. The fun doesn’t end with the amazing build, it continues when you play with it. The crane is super powerful and can lift pretty heavy things plus when extended it is pretty tall.
PROS
-4 wheel steering
-V8 Engine
-Crane
-SIZE
CONS
-Stabilizers (they don't get the Crane off the floor)
-No PF lights
Overall this is an amazing project that I would recommend to every LEGO Technic enthusiast out there! "

Good Technic set!
" This is a great lego set. I found that the build for this set was fun. What I love most is the Linear Actuators. In this set it is alot better pneumatic, becuase it is able to hold alot of weight. I also like the upgrade-ability of this set. It needs minimal surgery to add two IR recivers and three motors to make it able to be operated from a distance. I personally think that it is the best set of 2008. Just love it! "

Best set since Mobile Crane!
" This set is one of the best LEGO Technic sets ever made. The amazing thing is all the power functions that you get when you buy the set. You get two XL motors, two M, two IR recivers, one remote, and one battery box. That is a lot of stuff. I also like the fact this is the only LEGO Technic model that you can drive. The build is also extremely fun. There is only one problem that I encountered: The slip gear for the front blade does not work. What I mean by that is that the blade is heavy enough to make the gear slip like it is supposed to, but that means that the blade does not go up. This is an easy fix! Just replace it with a non slip gear. Overall a great set! "

 LEGO TECHNIC: Telescopic Handler
LEGO TECHNIC: Telescopic Handler
Lift nearly anything with this heavy-duty Telescopic Handler! It's loaded with realistic functions that you build right in, including a mechanical actuator that raises and lowers the extending boom, front-end stabilizers, and working four-wheel steering. You can even add 8293 Power Functions Motor Set to motorize the telescoping boom! Turn the knob on back to raise and lower the boom, then flip the switch the extend it! Tilt the front forklift to pick up the cargo pallet! Boom extends over 21" (53cm)! Telescopic Handler measures 15" (38cm) long and 15" (38cm) high!

Telescopic Handler
" This is a really great set, but it has some downsides. The stearing is really jerky and hard to use. The lever used to control what function you perfom sometimes slips out of postion to where you have to take it apart to fix this problem. I installed the motor and it works fine until you put something on the fork or pallet, then it starts to groan, and the lever moves to neutral . Overall this is a good set, but it has some kinks that need to be worked out. "
