The first step of a great castle
" I have been collecting Harry Potter legos since 2001 and this is the greatest sets I have bought together with the great Hall. The opportunity to build it as modules that you can connect together with other lego Harry potter sets like the great hall is a great idea. I love how you can connect this set to the great hall set, it just looks awesome. I hope many more connectable sets like this one will come over the years.
I always longed for the idea of building a giant/complete Hogwards castle. With the coming out of the Hogwarts castle 71043, I thought that my dream had finally become a reality. But 500$ is a lot to spend at once, and most of all, after seeing at the lego store, I found that the minifigures were too small for the set to really be playable.
With this set, lego gives us a much more playable set. It is also much easier to absorb the cost of each set over the years, if they release more. Next in line, I hope they release the Griffindor common room and the moving staircases together. I am thinking two floors of moving staircases (it was done beautifully in the 71043 set) topped by the common room on the 3rd floor and the dormitory on the 4th floor. This would give a kind of combination between the lego tree house 21318 and the Hogwarts Clock Tower. Yes, 4 floors is high, but Hogwarts has many high towers and this would be an awesome addition the the Clock Tower and Great hall. "
