Kids can recreate scenes from Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 and play out their own speeder-bike-riding, missile-shooting battle stories with this Trouble on Tatooine (75299) building toy. Includes The Mandalorian and Tusken Raider LEGO® minifigures, each with weapons for roleplay battles, plus a LEGO figure of the Child (the popular character affectionately known as Baby Yoda). The speeder has a LEGO® minifigure seat and saddlebag for the Child to sit in. The set also features a buildable Tusken hut hideout and spring-loaded, missile-shooting ballista for the Tusken Raider. Great for solo building and play or for sharing the fun with friends, this awesome construction toy makes the best birthday present, holiday gift or surprise treat for creative kids aged 7 and up. The speeder measures over 1.5 in. (3 cm) high, 5 in. (13 cm) long and 1.5 in. (3 cm) wide, and this complete set combines brilliantly with other LEGO® Star Wars™ buildable playsets for creative play. Thinking of buying this 277-piece set for a newcomer to LEGO® building? No worries. It comes with easy-to-follow illustrated instructions so they can build with confidence. There are LEGO® Star Wars™ sets to thrill fans of all ages, whether they want to recreate famous scenes, roleplay their own stories or just build and display the authentic construction models. LEGO® components meet the highest industry standards to ensure they are consistent and compatible for a simple, strong connection every time – it’s been that way since 1958. LEGO® bricks and pieces are tested to the max to make sure they meet stringent safety standards.

Solid Overall
" This is a pretty good set. The minifigs are excellent, especially the Beskar steel Mando. You don’t often get figures this good in cheap sets. The box can make the builds look misleadingly small but they are a nice size.
This set doesn’t get 5 stars for two reasons: 1) no jetpack for Mando and 2) the print on Mando’s helmet is slightly off center. It’s not noticeable unless you look closely, but that sort of thing matters a lot to collectors. I give LEGO a pass for the lack of Cobb Vanth and Krayt Dragon. They likely had to design this set far in advance of season 2 and wouldn’t have had many plot details. "

Worth It - Much better than the old set
" This set has been getting a fair amount of hate for essentially being a remake of a very similar set (75093) from 2015. I own both, so hopefully I can provide some perspective.
As with all recent LEGO sets, the bags are numbered, which makes the build simple and straightforward. If you are getting this for kids, they will probably need help with the stickers.
There are a lot of changes that improve the overall design. The computer screens behind the Emperor are the most obvious, and they look great. They also serve as a stopper for the connected platforms, allowing them to rest in their proper place without sliding around (this was a problem with the old set). The middle platform is two studs wider and the throne is farther back, so there is a lot more space to place the minifigs. The dark gray plates on the bottom floor have been replaced by black plates, which are more accurate and better-looking.
The platform for the Emperor's throne comes off entirely, allowing for minifigs to be placed down below. There are clips down there to hold the force lightning accessories. The old set had an odd lightsaber-launching contraption for the Emperor in that spot. It never worked properly and made no sense for a Return of the Jedi set, so I am glad they removed it.
The reactor core and falling platform have switched sides, which seems like a weird change, but it DOES have a functional purpose. The new set has a force-jump play feature that was not present in the 2015 set. You need the open space on the right side to use the feature properly and that wouldn't have been possible if it was on the left of the throne.
The reactor core is essentially the same, with a few less stickers on the inside and a few more on the outside. The door leading into the throne room looks much better than it used to.
As for the minifigs: Luke Skywalker and the Red Guards are the same, which is fine. The Emperor is the same outside of the new hood piece. I would rather have the old one, but I know some people that like the new one, so it comes down to personal preference. The Darth Vader minifig (as of right now) is exclusive to this set and it is by far the best version of Darth Vader available. He has printing on his arms, and the leg and torso printings have been slightly changed to show the difference between the cloth and metallic parts of his suit. The buttons on his torso look nicer and are more accurate.
There are a few small cons to this set versus the old one. The Emperor's throne has a few dark grey pieces and they definitely stand out. The old version used solid black and I am not sure the reason for the change. There are also some clips on the side of the throne that don't need to be there. I suppose you can use them to hold the handcuffs or a lightsaber, but it won't look as good if you display it that way. One of the gold trophy-looking pieces in front of the door has been replaced with a sand-green statue. It just looks...weird. I am not sure what this statue is supposed to be, or why it needs to be there. A symmetrical golden trophy piece would look much better.
Is it worth the price? I would say yes. The old set retailed for $80 back in 2015, but it's closer to $88.00 if you adjust for inflation. There are lot of small but significant changes with the new set that add up to a major upgrade. Many people judge set value on price per piece, but that is not always a fair barometer. This set has several large, oddly shaped, and uncommon pieces, along with several translucent pieces and a few printed windows, all of which are more expensive to produce than standard plates and bricks.
If you have the old set, is it worth buying the new one? If you are buying this for your kids to play with, then it probably isn't. If you are collector, then there is no question that this worth it, especially if you are buying this for display.
Happy building! "
