Can be used with older fire trucks
" This is a good set. The bench, little blue vehicle and the ice rink are a nice addition. The fire truck is nice and has 2 seats.
The gate might be a brick higher to give acces to other fire vehicles but I used an easier option.
I removed the dark grey 1x12 plate and the 2x2 bow slopes on the gate to give access on ladder fire vehicle from set 6554 for extra support. The fire truck in the Winter Village Fire Station has only 1 ladder instead of 2 (shorter range).
Both vehicles can through the gate now and even the other fire vehicles without a ladder.
Pros
- The roof can be removed to get better access to the interior.
- bench
- little blue vehicle
- sleigh
- ice rink
- fire truck with two seats
Cons
- Fire truck has 1 ladder instead of 2
- Grey 1x12 plate on the gate might be removed or replaced with tiles (and 1x2 plates under the walls)
9/10

Beams might be longer
" This is my First Harry Potter train that i get and it is a good start to make a longer one. But when you want add more rail cars it is good idea to use beams with a length of 5 instead of 3. Using 2 beams of 3 connected is an other option. I wanted to keep the brickbuild train bumpers instead of using the magnetic ones.
I build 3 extra rail cars in an other color, but i kept the train bottom like original rail car.
I used a Power Up hub and motor from one of my 2 passenger trains which I powered with the older Power Functions.
The platform might be have a roof. So I used some not used parts of my tender to make a roof above the platform. "

Good parts (as start) for custom rollercoatster
" I bought this set to make a second rollercoaster around set 31084. This set is cheap and a good start. I bought the other purple (and grey) tracks and coaster cars at Lego service.
I split up the restoom and the swing chairs so I could use the restoom as a pilar for the other coaster tracks.
I motorized them with a L-motor to get both trains synchronized over the top.
The track is semi-automatic because the top of the track is not high enough.

very nice set
" This not a cheap set if you compare them with the modulars, but you get a lot more details. So I'm very confident that I bought this set.
The set has 2 sticker sheets with a lot of stickers, but it includes a lot of printed tiles in a lot of colors. I'm not a collector of The Simpsons sets, but this set is always useful.
I built my set on 1,5 baseplate and disabled the hinges to save place. I used some of the included 8x16 plates to easy remove the roof and get access to the interior.
The interior has a lot of fridges (with many items), a big counter, 2 big shelves, 2 pinball boxes, an ATM-machine, a fruit juice vending machine, a cola vending machine, a coffee vending machine, ...
Outside you have 2 phone boxes and an area for trash with an garbage container.
The only remark is that the entrance doors are not high enough for Marge, even if she stays or sits in a wheelchair
Pro's
- a lot of details in the interior like fridges, vending machines, pinball boxes, ATM-machine, a big counter, ...
- 2 phone boxes outside
- a big garbage container
- a lot of printed tiles in many colors
- printed (round) 1x1 bricks for drinks, cans, ...
- printed cash desks on the counters, 2 types are used
- a lot of dark orange roof tiles in 1x2, 2x2, 2x4 and corner 2x2
- police car
Con's
- the entrances doors are too low for Marge
- a lot of stickers (not all of them are needed, but some are important for the functionality).

Good moccable bridge
" This set is good set if you want to make a (long) bridge. Like other said. The bridge is modular, so you can combine it with more of this sets. I bought 2 of them to get a longer bridge.
I replaced 4x8 plates on the sides with 8x16 plates to make the bride wider. In the tower I replaced the 1x12 bricks with 1x16 bricks.
To connect the ramp roads of set 6600 I raised the pillars with 2 bricks.
The original model is small and limits the traffic.
In the middle I built a extra part which allows higher vehicles.
The set is good, but it might be better if it will come with ramp roads, like in sets 6600 or 4852. That would make the set more complete.
Pro's
- easy to combine with more of this sets
- easy to make the bridge wider without stability issues
- 7 minifigures
Cons
- bridge is low, you have to raise it (bridge is not high enough for the caravan of set 4435 for example)
- ramp roads are missing in this set
- taxi can only fit one minifig, so you have to modify it if you want to use it as a taxi
- stickers
I know that are a lot of considerations, but this set is a good set to make a (long) bridge. I bought it to use it for crossing a highway, but you can use for water, trains, ... "

Great expansion for my Arctic sets
" This is good set of the City Volcano theme. My favorite items are the drone, the female minifigs and the excavator.
The mobile operations center is good, but the roof might be better worked out. It might be better if there were 4 more dark grey '1x2 plates with rail' included in the set so you can built them near the 2 '1x8 plates with rail' on the roof. See the photo below for details.
Pros
- drone
- excavator
- a big volcano
- sturdy truck with crane
- detailed mobile operations center with oxygen bottles
Cons
- the roof of the mobile operations center might be better worked out (4 extra grey 1x2 plats with rail).

Big brick(s) in the plane limits the possibilities
" This is a good set if you want an airport. The set includes a big plain and a terminal. The terminal has a control tower, check-in, luggage handler, fuel tank, ...
I expanded my terminal and built it on a 32x32 baseplate and used the 2 grey 16x16 plates for the roof. The backside is not completely closed. Otherwise is the luggage belt is not accessible with my hand.
I added 2 extra seats in the plane. Normally you have 6 seats in the plane, but I raised it to 8. I wanted more than 8 but that is almost not possible. The plane is brought with a big brick which includes the middle of the plane and the 2 wings and that one limits the possibilities.
The toilet in the plane is still on the backside.

Place the motor under the tender
" Lego made a beautiful winter train set. It looks good and gives the feeling of the holidays.
If you want to motorize it with Power Functions and want to add more rail cars. You should place the motor under the tender and not under the engine (watch photo below). The motor slips over when the motor is placed under the engine. Lego proposes in the building instructions but in my opinion it is not a good idea.
Happy Holidays and have fun with the (motorized) Winter Holiday Train "

A great set start for a city
" This is one of the best City sets that Lego has made. It has a lot variety. You have vehicles (cars, trucks, a scooter, a helicopter, a bike and a tram), a Lego shop, a garage, a coffee bar, … and the set has a lot of minifigures which is a nice extra.
My favorite part is the tram. I bought this year my second set to get a longer tram. I motorized one tram with a 9V-train motor and the other with a RC-train motor. I wanted a second tram to have more seats (16 instead of 8) and especially for more space for bikes (or to keep more wheelchairs). I replaced the included wheels with train wheels. The small wheels gave a painful sound when they rotate on the track.
I combined the 2 garages, 1 Lego shop, and 1 Coffee Corner Chain on a grey baseplate to have my city square.
Pros
- a big variety of vehicles (including a tram, scooter, heli, bike and extra tires for 1 car)
- 12 minifigurs
- 3 buildings
- dog
- brickbuilt tree
- tram stop (with newspapers stand)
- hotdog vendor
Cons
- bike part on the tram might be a little bit bigger.

A nice(r) set when it comes alive
" This is a nice set of the Friends Amusement Park series. My favorite part is the Topspin. I motorized it with the medium motor so it comes alive. I powered the motor with Speed Regulator of the 9V trains and the power converting cable 8871, but if you don't have it I recommend you to use Power Functions components (8883, 8800/8878/8881, 8869 or 8884 and 8879. Otherwise you can get set 8293.
When you motorize it I highly recommend to use a baseplate (32x32 or bigger) for a good stability and catch the vibrations.
The bumper cars are good. But it their might be a third bumper car included in the set. Now the the bumper cars always have to hit the same one. That might be a bit boring. :)
I also like the candyfloss stand. It is nice addiction to the set.
