Quirky build
" With all the brickheadz these are quirky - builds and this one more so than some of the others - with most of the complex parts of the build going into the costume. Which is a beautiful balance of red and gold.
Lots of nice and interesting parts in this build especially in gold. "

A very nice build especially the animals
" This is a very nice build, it is in 5 stages - roughly:
* The base/ground
* The deck of the carousel
* The centre of the carousel
* The animals for the ride
* The roof and it's edging
The build like the carousel was interesting - I iiked all the attention to detail; the clever use of slopes and hinges to make the base, the use of hinges to get the slopes in the centre.... But most of all the animals are so well made and have lots of interesting features about them...
Now for the bits I'm not so keen on - bag 5 (and to a lesser extent) bag 2 can be quite repetitive - although both have interesting techniques in them - but this is similar to the ferris wheel - and is due to the symmetries in the design.
The only other issue I have is the base - I think it would have benefited from a bit more rigidity and perhaps having tiles below every bit of it rather than just the visible edges - as picking it up can be tricky - as the base is the only obvious place to do it.
.. and I would have liked a slightly different gear ratio so I could make it spin slightly faster <g>! "

Nice build
" Although it's difficult to have a favourite star wars OT film - the Battle of Hoth is one of those iconic scenes I remember from my childhood. And the snowspeeder/airspeeder is one of those iconic craft in the star wars canon....
I've built various snow speeders in the past - but this is a brilliant build.. .Relatively straight forward although some tricky techniques - and some slightly hairy moments {it took about 4 attempts to add the top wing without losing the air-intake fins that are hidden between the wing panels....}
I really enjoyed the build - a couple of MOC/mods adding some of the spare cheese slopes to the top of the engine mounts to hide the stud - and a slight mod to the stand to a get tighter banking profile...
I love the attention to detail - the skates on the leading/trailing edges, gun/snot/fin combination for the air intake fins etc, and the details inside the engine fins - that if you look carefully can see a oval shape hidden in there - totally unnecessary - but just great to see.....
Now to try and make a pilot/gunner pair to sit on those nice seats.... "
