A Quick, Swooshable Build
" Bought this set out of intrigue more than anything else, as I didn't remember any scenes involving Yoda in a fighter, but figured it must've been from one of the Clone Wars Episodes.
The set itself feels very nice in the hand and is easy to put together. Mine had a small mistake where there were 3 inverted 3x1 slopes and only one curved 3x1, but one BrickLink visit later fixed it and it's now nice and smooth.
The spring-loaded shooters seem well placed and unlikely to get accidentally triggered, so that's good. What seems strange is that there's no place for Yoda's lightsaber anywhere, not unless you're comfy with sticking it through one of the Technic pins on the wing attachment points. In the end, I just took it apart and put the hilt behind him in the cockpit and squeezed the bar element behind his neck. You can still close the cockpit up normally and it looks nice.
One other thing is, there are no real controls for him to use, or even a display panel in the cockpit. I used the left-over light gray 1x1 slope and the 1x1 dark gray plate with the trans-green stud on top to make a kind of control area for him which adds some texture inside (see included Picture for reference).
Bonus points to LEGO for the extra lightsaber hilt and Technic cylinder connector, can never have too many of those..
All in all, I'd recommend this whether you're planning on just displaying it (the wings give it some nice posing options), buying it for the parts (Dark Green FTW) or just to play around the house like I know you'll want to (I'm 31 and still found time to smuggle it to the office and shoot people in the back). Heck, try it on the cat, the kids, the Missus (if you feel like you can escape quickly enough), it's a lot easier than the Naboo Fighter to carry around and lot less conspicuous too ;)
Happy flying & hunting! "

An exciting build
" Had been wanting to get this for Christmas but life got in the way and had to postpone it. However, I was surprised by having it given to me as a present for my birthday, earlier this month.
Building the crane was very entertaining, as I love setting up gearboxes and seeing them at work. I also love the color scheme of it, as it's something different than all the yellow cranes from the past.
There were, however, some things that needed adjusting, then main culprit being the clutch gear on the grabber winch, for which I felt I needed to detract 1 Brick on this review. With it installed, the crane cannot really lift anything other than very light loads, which seems counter-intuitive given the gearing of the winch itself and the presence of the large PF Motor instead of the Medium one, not to mention given the fact this is supposed to be the main point of the set, to see what you can lift around with it...
Fortunately this can be relatively easily fixed, by swapping out the clutch gear with a regular 24-toothed one (by removing some of the rear panel and beam elements of the hull). The result (with a little help from my hand keeping the back of the crane from tilting) can be seen in the attached pictures. Am considering some modifications to make the rear heavier, so that it would be balanced on its own with heavier loads, but for now it's good as it is.
I also changed the mounting point of the boom articulation elements 2 studs further up to allow it to sit at a higher position, since it felt a little low by itself (can also be seen in the pictures).
Lastly, I had a bunch of leftover transparent elements and pins from other sets, City, Creator and Technic ones, which I used to add some details to the hull, like running lights at the tip and on the white boom panels, warning lights on the sides, an engine bay "servicing light", added some leftover bushings to exposed axles and connectors (especially those ones in the winch area that were kind of just sticking out of the beams..), etc.
I'm now really happy with the way it looks and works and have been playing with it (including having it drive around outside) for a month so far and, I'm sure, many more to come :)
I'd highly recommend picking one up if you have the opportunity, lots of fun to be had. "
