Good design
" Preforms very similar to the NXT motors, but much easier to mount and build into frames. I would recommend this both to customers wanting a 4th motor for their EV3 or as a replacement for worn NXT motors. "

Customer Info
" A note to purchasers: this is only a single axis gyroscope. Having both purchased one and verified with the manufacturer, do not purchase assuming otherwise.
This sensor will measure rotation speed, it will not function as a compass on it's own. But if you like math, there at a lot of ways to obtain such results. The sensor is extremely sensitive, be sure it is held stable when you are calibration it.
All in all, I have been satisfied with the sensor, it is fast, accurate, and relatively low noise. If you are using it for detecting rotation, great sensor. If you want to make a balancing robot, you should be a well experienced programmer. (or download the example code from HiTechnic, the manufacturer of this sensor)

Good Sensor
" The LEGO color sensor is one of the beter light sensing sensors I have used. The ability to switch betwene a light and color sensor without a hardware change is very useful, and has been a key component in many of my robots. Since the sensor does not internaly calculate the color (that's handled by the firmware) it makes the sensor very fast so it can detect the color of falling objects as they pass by, making high speed color sorters posible.
Tips for buyers/users:
Make sure the sensor is level with the object that you want to check the color of, it does not like working at an angle.
If a bright light is pointed at the front of the sensor, it will give inaccurate readings as it cannot see its own reflected light.
