Flashback Garmadon is the best
" I have to admit that I love the hunt for getting the characters. And while I do not buy all of these online, getting five here to start with is not bad.
Know that the price of getting all of the characters is more then a large set. So really the value is not there, but these are just too much fun to get.
For Ninjago, I like the character designs. Nya (favorite of the TV series) has her new hair style.
Shark Army General 1 design is plastic instead of cloth. This gives a really nice see through ability to her cape.
The GIT Tech has a laptop that opens.
The selfie stick with the Jay looks really well.
Lloyd's Green dragon blue print is not a sticker which is common with packaged minifigs. But all the picture accessories are highly detailed.
But flashback Garmadon is probably my favorite with the volcano with the white picket fence...idea for using some of those volcano sets from the city area.
Duplicates in this series is actually very useful on some of the characters. I specifically got two GIT techs because I wanted the idea of twins, or setting up one as a guy and girl using some other heads.
Having more Lloyds gives unique poses to display.
The downfall of all of this is that if you do not like playing the game master mind, or spending hours sifting through bags to find a certain character. I would actually buy a set of these packaged like the beach or park set. But I would still want individual packages to buy specific ones.
The shark army figures with helmets have really nice faces underneath. They have scuba tanks with each being unique for the figure. Although the scuba tank of great white keeps me thinking it is Zane.
This series does seem to have more accessories per figure then ones in the past. Overall I highly recommends these.
My photos are mixing of the bags so do not use them as what you would get, unless you wind up with some duplicates here and there. "

A Great Movie Companion
" I buy a lot of "Art of" books for movies. I really did not know there was one for the Lego Batman Movie and came across it when looking for a set. The price is cheaper then most of books in this style. But the amount of images, stories, and areas included in this book is staggering.
The movie portion takes you through the process from concept art to final scene. Learn about the spice rack which is an amazing design but goes by so fast in the movie. It walks through how they went about animating Clayface. The concept art of just the figures is staggering on how many designs where created and how some of those have become actual figurers. There is so much of this you get the feeling that there could be five series of Lego minifies just for this movie alone. (really hoping for Baturion, and Merbat). 23 concepts for Harley Quin on 4 pages. And it covers a lot of characters in the movie.
And although a movie book, it is also a Lego Idea book showing off sets from the past, and present. Such going through different versions of the batmobile including a different front to the existing model.
The tank from the Dark Knight Returns, concepts of the bat train. Joker armor truck which brings up the idea of the Scooby Doo Apocalypse Mystery Machine.
Filled with humor also, such as concept art of Bane's vehicle most too small for him and ranges from a bicycle to wearing a chopper. Catwoman's version of the Scuttler.
The only thing left out of this packed 200 paged book is anything not related to Batman. Namely anything from the last part of the movie. While not really missed in this book, I would have not minded a couple pages of who is who for those included. The justice league gets some pages and so does the phantom zone. It was probably done not give away spoilers, but if you are buying a book like this that is not really something you are avoiding. "

Bad Cop to the rescue
" I have to admit I was able to get this at a fairly low price. And I had bough him before the dimensions game so I've been using him from the start in the game.
We play the game in co-op mode.
Bad Cop
- I did like that Bad Cop has a Good Cop face, although so far Bad Cop in the game comes out more. I have just a few sets at this point, so Bad Cop is one of my major players. He is very detailed and has the newer shooting gun. Laser, and detect relic comes in hand to have two characters in co-op mode. UniByte tends to claim WildStyle as her own.
Police Car
Mode 1 - Has the tow ropes which the bat mobile first build does not have. We went with the second color style which is more of an all white car, which does make you want to replace the black on the model for a white version. Nice speed, fast, fun to drive.
Mode Two - Hover. Bad news is that Hover mode does tend to skip over the brick coins. But if you make it jump, it will slam down into the ground to get them. But we still find this to be a fun vehicle in the game
Mode 3 - have not gotten that far with it yet, but it would appear to be missiles added to hover mode. If it plays well, it may become the mode of choice for this vehicle as we have the wheeled bat mobile already.
I find him useful, but kind of depends on what you have and who you like. I'll have to check out Cyborg sometime based on the other review also. "
