"I have more lego sets than is possible to display in my lego room (who needs a study?) This one is never coming down. Couldn’t afford it when it first came out so when I could I bought it on ebay at not too bad a price because it didn’t come with the minifigs. (Not an issue - I have hundreds of minifigs.) The build experience was exceptional, such detail and challenge attaching Lady Liberty’s head, arm and torch. There is 360 degree play access as so many areas are open. Very few modular sections, those there are are very easy to get to. Attaching the lower hand with book was a serious challenge - brilliant. Quite a few stickers but they can easily be applied using tweezers. I could carry on but I’ll not bother - you’d probably get bored. If you can afford it second hand, buy it because you’ll not be disappointed."
"Bought to go with City and Docks which look amazing but I’d forgotten how little interior play modular builds they have. For instance access to the Comic book store in the city is seriously limited if you want to actually play with the set various aspects of the set rather than purely display it. For that reason I quickly tired of the latest build, put it in boxes and stuck it in the back of the Lego cupboard. Don’t know that I shall bother finishing it, will probably sell it on before completion. Don’t get me wrong, if you like modular I’m sure you’ll love it. Open back and hinged models only from now on."
