Utinni!!
" I was really surprised to see this set released, and honestly not interested in it at first. But after seeing it at the LEGO store, I decided to pick it up. Really, how often do you get to pick up a Sandcrawler for a somewhat reasonable price?? The only other options prior to this one were the UCS, which were too expensive for most. This offers a really well designed set and play experience for a more attainable price. After building it, I'm very impressed.
The build:
This is a really nice build. Not overly hard, yet challenging enough that older builders will be entertained. Especially the tread mechanisms are quite intricate, and they look great when finished.
Finished product:
Its great! The finished product really comes out nice. I was surprised that the treads mechanisms actually work very well. Not only do they look great when finished, but it rolls very well across the carpet and will turn. The greebling on the top and back look really good. I might think this would be a compromise point on the cheaper set, but no. The interior in really nice too. Obviously, they can't pack as much in as the UCS, but they used the space well. There is a really cool computer setup on one side, along with a crane and view platform. The other side has an area where the droids awaiting sale can be put. The cockpit is pretty good too. The contols are nice looking.
Minifigs:
The droids are the highlights of the figs.
RA-7 is really cool, and I don't remember seeing him before. His unique head mold is neat.
R5-A2 is also a nice addition to any astromech collection and has a nice orange color.
The Medical droid is a good fit. Nice sand color.
Jawas are great. Not as rare as they used to be, but really can't have too many of them.
Luke is an obvious choice for this set. Not too outstanding, but nice to have along.

Really not much. The one thing I really would have liked to see is an Uncle Owen and maybe even Beru minifig. This could have been a prime opportunity to include them, but sadly it didn't happen. Hopefully we can get them in a more affordable set later on.

Overall, this is definitely worth picking up. It's really well done, and they put a lot in for the price point. It has good play features as well. It's a unique set that stands out from the starships and other sets you may already have in your collection and a worthy addition. 9/10

Set of the Year
" This is a really awesome set. Of all the new Star Wars sets, this is definitely the best. The build quality is just fantastic. And the detailing is just right. Really, this set instantly became one of the favorites in my entire collection.
The set:
The set is very sturdy, doesn't feel like it will fall apart at all. And the detailing is great. For example, the engines on the outside look fantastic. The command center inside is also really neat, with a chair, desk and computer. The cockpit is great, with plenty of details to make it realistic. The outside turrets are cool too. And the bombing feature is awesome! It works flawlessly every time.
This is such a unique set, very unlike any that Lego has produced before.
Ultimately, this just feels like such a high quality set. Very well designed, excellent play features, top notch build quality.

Lego has been making some top notch sets lately, and their effort shows. This has to be one of the best though. Do not miss out on this set!

Amazing model
" At first, I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy this set. After buying it anyways and building it, my mind is thoroughly changed. It is a very unique and striking ship.
The build and set:
True, the build is somewhat repetitive, but it is such an interesting build that it doesn't feel that way. Some cool and surprising techniques are used, especially for attaching the wings, and it made the build very enjoyable. And this is a solid set. It almost feels overbuilt, which is a good thing. It doesn't feel flimsy at all; everything is very well secured to make sure that it will not fall apart. Once completed, the set is quite imposing. Much larger than I thought, which is a good thing, and it has a nice weight too. Very swoosh-able!! And the detailing is just right. It just looks plain awesome.
As a side note, lego has been doing a great job of building solid sets recently. Especially with these The Last Jedi sets, they seem so well designed and built, and I really appreciate that. I can enjoy playing with them and nothing is going to fall off or apart.

BB-9e is cool too. Always nice to have a cool droid.
TIE pilot is a home run! This is one of the coolest looking figs in awhile, and the printing is just great!
Complaint:
Only real complaint is that there is no controls in the cockpit. A viewscreen or joystick would have been really nice. But not really a big deal, you can always add that in yourself.

Set of the Year
" This is really a great set! First of all, I have to say that the price is great on this set, especially when you consider what you're getting. What other set has had Jawas? The only ones I know of are the Sandcrawlers, which were prohibitively expensive for most, like me. Yet here, Lego has not just given us a Jawa, but 2 Jawas. This is an "entry level" set, and yet we're getting a highly coveted minifig in multiples. I think they are nearly worth the set price by themselves.
But, it doesn't stop there because you also get the newer C-3PO and R2-D2.
3-PO is fine, but R2 is new and improved again, and this version is one that was also only available in the new Sandcrawler. I think this is the most accurate version of R2 to date, and again, to get him in a lower priced set is just great!
The escape pod itself is also pretty great. Granted, it's not the coolest ship there is, but they have done a good job of rendering it in Lego. I haven't found any problems with build quality yet, and it seems quite sturdy to me. There are also some really cool little features that just make it that much cooler, like the retro looking Death Star plans and some other things. It really is the best iteration of this set.
Overall, this is an excellent set! It's very affordable, you're getting an excellent selection of minifigs, and a pretty neat ship at that. Highly recommended!
On a side note, I really appreciate that Lego has made nearly every set from this release affordable. Essentially, they're all under $25. This is what fans have been asking for, great sets at a lower price. Here you go, request answered! "

"I want that ship"
" Wow, wow, wow.
What an absolutely amazing set.
The details on the interior are outstanding with features like a game board, smuggling compartments and a retractable boarding ramp.
Also, worthy of special mention is the computer panel which is absolutely awesome and I think that it was a pretty cool addition to put in this set.
The exterior is also very detailed, including the top and bottom cannons which are way better than the previous Falcon's.
The cockpit is also cool and can fit both Han and Chewie.
The only thing that this set is missing are R2-D2 and C-3PO.
This set has now become one of the top 3 in my collection.

A Classic

That being said it is the most movie accurate version of this speeder ever and that says a lot.
Also it is a great way to get some pretty cool minifigs, including a very hard to find sandtrooper with packback and an awesome old Ben Kenobi.
Play expierence is also great, especially if you have other Star Wars sets.
Overall I would recommend this set to a friend. 9/10 "
