A Beautiful Representation of a Classic Ship
" A LEGO Y-Wing has always been a dream set of mine ever since I played LEGO Star Wars II. Thankfully, this set did not disappoint.
Pros:
-The set is very large, putting it into good scale with the minifigures.
-The play features are well integrated. The loading and droppof the bombs works well and the placement of the spring-loaded shooters lines up with where the torpedo launchers are on the in-film ship.
-The small details are beautifully done, even to the point of being able to name them from an official diagram of the ship.
-It has landing gear. Just that makes it a win in my books.
Cons:
-Apart from the pilot, astromech and Stormtrooper figures; the other two minifigs are kind of just there to be there. The Stormtrooper does just kind of hang around but at least he's there to fight the rebels. The white fuzzzy one I forget the name of isn't even in the Rogue One movie, yet is still a cool looking figure.
-It's a small inconsistency, but the Y-Wing is supposed to have a sort of X shaped cover over the end of the long thruster stabilisers to help the ship turn. Not a detrimental detail but I still felt I should point it out.
In the end, I couldn't be happier with this set. The only real issues I have are with extra stuff so thinking of the necessary parts, it's a downright perfect Y-Wing set that looks perfect next to my beloved U-Wing. "

A Set Fit For A King
" Oh boy was I excited for this set!
Pros:
The Talon Ship is nice and bulky. I feel confident that in the unfortunate case of it being dropped, it wouldn't shatter into a million pieces. Maybe 4 or 5 pieces, but that's quite manageable to pick up. There is decent space in the cockpit making it easy to insert the character of your choice (even with adult hands such as mine). The storage space in the back of the ship is nice for play as it implies the space the ship had in the movie. 3 of the 4 figures are perfect (number 4 is addressed in cons). Though the large amount of grey on Black panther's face initially put me off, in person I realise it had to be done to get that more cat-like head detail to show. His body printing is perfect! Nakia looks acceptably like the character even without a skirt piece to mimic her robes in the film and her ring blades (which are new pieces) are awesome. Though I am a huge Black panther fan, Klaue has to be my favourite from the set. The printing and choice of hairpiece for him are spot on.
Cons:
Though i appreciate it's inclusion and realise this would have made the ship larger and therefore more expensive, there is very little room in the rear storage. You can only fit one figure and even then you have to lay them down so you can close the roof hatch. As stated, Nakia could have done with a skirt piece to mimic her robes, but that isn't much concern. Klaue looks weird with that silver cannon thing instead of his hand cannon. It's meant to be like it's folded out of his arm, which sadly the piece used does not successfully portray. Figure number 4 I am yet to mention is Mr Erik Killmonger. Though the mask and printing are spot on to the film, I cannot let his dreadful face print pass by unnoticed. It is just a generic, serious looking male face. This is greatly disappointing as the character has very distinct facial and head hair in the movie. A more accurate face print and alternative hair piece along with the mask would have been a welcome inclusion. As this set already includes several never-before-seen pieces and prints, I cannot understand why Killmonger was only given his mask.
Overall, this is a great set, especially for a Black panther fan such as myself. "

Nya Makes Quite A Splash!
" Another great downsize of the gigantic mechs seen in the movie.
Pros:
This has got to be the largest £35 set I have ever seen. The whole thing is perfectly balanced, able to stand on only 2 opposite feet at a time. The central cockpit has 360 degree rotation which is great for playing like Nya is fighting off tons of bad guys at once. The stud multi-stud shooter is perfectly integrated into the design of the mech as well as it's firing mechanism. I always like to see LEGO not sacrificing appearance over play features. Though it only has knee and ankle joints, they present quite a lot of posing options. The four figures included are great. Kai is the weakest simply because he is in several other sets, but he comes with his sword holster in this one and that' pretty cool. Nya is the real star of this set, complete with her specially made skirt piece and spear. It's also always nice to get more Shark Army soldiers to amass an army for Lord Garmadon to control. One of them even has a cool puffer-fish helmet.
Cons:
Being honest, I have very minor complaints about this set. All I can really say is that there were maybe a few too many stickers and Nya can't sit in her mech while wearing her skirt as it isn't the new softer fabric and will be damaged by the studs and pieces around her. I just opt to take the piece off of her when sitting her in the mech.
Overall this is a fantastic set that i'd recommend in a heartbeat. It's just a shame that LEGO bricks can't all float on water. "

A Must Have For Ninjago Fans!
" First of all; I'd like to say how stupidly long this set is. But, like, good stupid. It's unbelievable!
Now that's out of the way, the review.
Pros:
Being a scaled-down representation of the dragon seen in the movie, this set does a fantastic job of keeping the appearance. It's kind of like when a minikit is made that you look at and go "I can tell exactly what that's a shrunken version of". The detailing throughout is quite incredible (I'm especially fond of the eyes). Stickers are not overbearing meaning i had more fun building. The gimmick where you can sway the tail back and forth works perfectly, making it look alive when you swing it just right. The auxiliary jet boosters are hidden beautifully and, when revealed, don't take away from the dragon aesthetic. They only add to it's awesomeness. Finally, the minifigures are very good too. The three important ones of course are Lloyd, Wu and Lord Garmadon. Garmadon has to be one of my favourite minifigures ever!
Cons:
There isn't a lot of articulation in this set. The legs are quite stumpy and really just comprise of "shoulders" and "ankles". This restricts how dynamically you can pose the dragon as a whole. Though you can make it look up and down at the base of the neck, the joint at the base of the head can only look side-to-side. This means you can't pose it in a convincing "waving" motion as seen in-film. Though I love the swinging tail, it is permanently loose meaning it can't easily be posed when I'm not playing with it. Finally, I'd like to say that the stud shooters are a little pointless. They are in an awkward place on top of the front legs so most of the time are facing down when the dragon is standing. I get that they're there to add a play feature, but i feel the tail already covers that.
Overall this is a stupendous set! Great size, great figures and great play. Whether or not you liked the movie, any Ninjago fan owes it to themselves to get a hold of this magnificent dragon. "

This Set's On Fire!
" First and foremost; this set is HUGE! Seriously, when I entered the LEGO Store and saw it on display for the first time, I was gobsmacked.
Now that's out of the way let's get down to business.
The Pros:
As I have mentioned, the mech is very tall, which is always good with robot sets. The minifigure selection is great for the most part. I love that these sets all come with a hero, a villain or two and at least one civilian to be rescued. That' just great for play. The stickers are not very intrusive and are mostly very large so they are quite easy to apply. The play features of the spinning flames and disc launchers not only work great, but also disguise themselves neatly within the set itself. There are also clips located on each legs to hold Kai's swords, a feature most of the other Ninjago vehicles do not have for their respective Ninja. Overall, the aesthetic is very pleasing, even from the back which normally is left quite ugly.
Now, the cons:
Due to what i can only assume is for stability's sake, the mech does not have bending knees. this sadly limits the poses you can put it in immensely. The inclusion of Zane, though nice, seems unnecessary to me. Why would i need a single ninja on the ground when I also have a giant mech with flamethrowers for arms? Also, kai doesn't come wit his sword sheathes. I know it's s he can fit in the mech, but it's not like their not easily removable. Though the BIGGEST problem with the set is it's shoulders. The joints used are pathetically weak. It is absolutely impossible to pose the mech with it's arms out sideways. They just droop back down to it's sides.
Despite the issues plaguing the mech's ability to be posed, it is a gorgeous mech and I would recommend it to absolutely any LEGO fan. Especially Ninjago fans. "

Earth Shattering Set!
" As soon as I left The Ninjago Movie I knew I had to get this thing when it became a set. It's gargantuan presence on screen was breathtaking. I can gladly say that same bulk has translated perfectly to this model I now have before me.
Starting with the positives; the mech has surprisingly good articulation for a set of it's size, with both shoulder and elbow joints. The genius idea of including a kick-stand in the design helps it stay upright on that one massive tire. The flick missiles are beautifully hidden inside the shoulders of the mech and even when exposed, they blend in by resembling amplifier speakers. As a musician, this detail makes me very happy. The Cole figure looks great, thankfully including the wristband printing that has been missing from many of his releases. The shark army soldiers are nice as it's always good to have goons to fight, and i can't forget the newsman who's of course the civilian Cole must save. The last figure, Lady Iron Dragon, is generally a good figure, but i'll address my issue with her later. The general experience building the mech was very involved. it took me roughly 2 ours.
Now, the negatives; i mentioned that I have an issue with Lady Iron Dragon and that issue is with her face. Due to being yellow printed on a black head, the end result is closer to Orange than the normal LEGO minifig yellow. I've tolerated this with characters like batman who is mostly concealed in his suit, but the colour fading is disgustingly obvious here because she has Yellow hands. Personally i would have been happier if she just had a regular head even if it is inaccurate to the film. Though it's a bit nitpicky, I was disappointed to not see anything at the back of the mech's cockpit representing Cole's record collection, an aspect of the design that really stood out to me. Yes he's got his twin turntables up front but in the film he had shelves of records beside him. I know that's not practical in a set like this, but maybe a sticker or two giving the image of these shelves could have been added.
Overall, this is a phenomenal set with only a few minor gripes to be had. would recommend this to any LEGO fan of Ninjago, mechs or both. The face print problem is not exclusive to this set so don't let that take away from how awesome this set is. But, seriously though LEGO, these face print problems need to be solved. All Batman figures look like he's been in the sun for too long.

Timeless Fun
" The minifigure is a fantastic looking representation of Peter Capaldi's iteration of The Doctor. The K-9 and TARDIS builds also look spot on. The level that The Doctor unlocks is a fun and true to the source material adventure through time and space. The Doctor has many useful abilities for progressing through the game, such as: sonic attacks, intelligence and hacking just to name a few.
The only extra thing I wish this had was minifigs of all other iterations of The Doctor, but that would probably boost the price beyond it's already questionable cost.

Super set. Drives me bats!
" A wonderful set based on the new movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice". The main draw for me was the exclusive figures of Superman (my personal favourite superhero), now sporting red boots, and Wonder Woman, who is only available in this set.
The batwing is gorgeous, with a huge wingspan and a spot on design perfectly replicating how it looked in the film. The cloth cape on Batman also means you can safely put him in it's cockpit without worrying about the cape creasing as it would with the older capes.
The problem I have with this set however, is how drastically inaccurate it is to the film scene it is meant to be depicting
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The actual scene of the film has the super trio fighting the moster Doomsday, who is blatantly missing from the set, instead replaced by a bright green Lexcorp helicopter. The set was unveiled before Doomsday had been announced so I'm assuming it was down to LEGO not being aloud to show him.
Overall, this is a fantastic superheroes set, giving you the complete DC Trinity and an awesome new Bat-vehicle.

Bustin' makes me feel good (and so does this set)
" A fantastic recreation of the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot's Ecto-1 and 2. The characters are all recognisable in cute LEGO form with a great amount of accessories for each, all taken straight from the movie. The gracious amount of printed pieces is well appreciated as I myself am useless at applying stickers properly. The equipment on top of the roof of Ecto-1 is spot on accurate to the in film car. The ability to fit all 4 team members in the car, with Kevin riding Ecto-2, is brilliant as I feel there is an overabundance of vehicle sets that come with more figures than can fit in the actual vehicle itself (looking at you Tie Fighters).
Overall, I only have very minute problems with the set and I mean REALLY minute. Ecto-2 falls over very easily due to not having any kind of a stand of which most LEGO motorcycles have. Also, none of the Ghostbusters can stand up while wearing the Proton packs. They're just too heavy. The original Ecto-1 came with a stand for the figures, so why didn't this? Finally, it bugs me that the ghost included, the mischievous 'Mayhem', is the wrong colour. Here, he is red, where in the film he is most definitely bright green.
This is a fantastic set, of which I would advise any Ghostbusters fan to get. Even if you didn't like the new film, or are one of these people that don't like it despite having not seen it yet (which is absurd) this is still a very well made LEGO set, worthy of anyone's collection. "
