A real mixed bag
" I bought this set for the same reason I’ve bought every other DC set, for the figures, which are excellent. Ace the bat hound and the Talons are really well done and the batman with battle damaged armour is superb.
But the bike I just don’t get, it’s so big, it looks awesome but I think batman needs to be three times bigger
(or the bike three times smaller) to look right. It’s play value is not bad and my daughter likes it but from my point of view it just feels like another oversized bike that follow the Harley Quinn and Batman bikes a few years back.
If the designers see these reviews I’d like to suggest that it would be nice to see some more play set oriented sets, like a chemical factory heist or a doomsday in Metropolis ;-) rather than vehicle themed sets. "

If you only ever buy one DC set make it this one.
" I have been collecting the DC sets since their return in 2011 and over the years I have felt the vehicles have got a bit hit and miss. (In truth I would prefer to see a few more play set style sets rather than just various Bat themed vehicles)
This set however is one of the best lego has produced in the DC Theme, in truth it’s a repeat of the original 2011 6862 version, but so much better.
Figurewise you still get Lex and Wonder Woman, Lex has a new battle aromour printing. There’s no superman this time but instead you get Bats, Firestorm and Cheetah! Batman is nothing special but you get a cool jet pack for him. Firestorm is excellent with some lego fire elements that really finish his look. And it’s great to get Wonder woman’s arch rival in the form of Cheetah.
The build is not overly challenging, but should keep the younger fans entertained for a few hours. The Mech is a brilliant build and by making use of ball joints it can be posed in almost any position without falling down. The whole look of the set is pleasing.
Play wise this set is great fun, the stud shooters (which I’m not usually a big fan of) complement the set really well. The little canister is a great play feature to develop a story to act out, me and my daughter have had great fun playing with this set. I would recommend to anyone wanting a DC set. "

Gold Leader!
" Of all the Rebel Ships the Y-Wing is my personal favourite and I felt it was time to purchase an upgrade, having previously purchased 7658 many years ago. I can't compare to 9495 but I can say this model is an excellent update.
The detailing is superb, particularly the clever use of battle droids bodies for detailing the fuselage. The engines are a bit repetitive but that is something I find standard on a Star Wars build due to the nature of the model's symmetry.
I can see from a play point of view this model looks fun with the bomb launcher. I've never been a fan of the missile launcher element and although I'm sure they are great for kids to fire at other models, when loaded they do spoil the look of this model. The crane is a nice addition.
The minifigures are great, the astromech is superb as is Moroff, although I find him an odd addition to the set as he was on Jehda and not part of the alliance, (Maybe he would have suited a set based on Saw's hideout). I'd say the same for the stromtrooper, the printing is excellent but I would have preferred a Rebel Trooper or Rebel Mechanic. My only dislike is the Pilot, it is great to have another Blue Jumpsuit version but the printing is exactly the same as the U-Wing pilot, an alternative helmet would have been better.
But apart from that, an excellent set. "
