"This has to be my favorite Friends set by far. Although its a small one, you get good bang for your buck! I like all the colors in the set, especially that mint-green scooter! You also get nice printed pieces like the stand's sign and the cookie pieces. The juicer and pitcher are nicely built details. Overall this has a lot to offer for kids and adult fans of lego, I'm almost half tempted to get another!"
"I bought this set because I saw the potential in all the pieces and bricks. I love the colors of this set, it fits really well with the subject of the set and its not full of just pink and purple like most of the friends sets. I like how they included nice big windows and the awning pieces, it really looks like a nice shop inside and out. The decals are well designed and fit the color scheme well too. I especially like all the fruit pieces (you even get pineapples!) and the blender and juicer. I plan to create a modular using all the pieces from this. The only con to this set is that there isn't much playability to it."
"I've seen a lot of reviews for this set that are particularly negative, yet I am completely happy with this set for the most part. Although this set is not a 2-in-1 build, it is still worth the buy. The Saloon Plane has a lot of nice western-style pieces (but most are decals). I especially like the canon functions and the use of the chest pieces which can drop bundles of dynamite! Bob's Kabob hovercraft is also a nice build. Again, you have all the details of a kabob stand, so if you wanted to you could build your own! The hovercraft uses kabob flick fires which is fun. The mini figures is this set are also really great quality. Almost all of the figures have front and back printing, and fairly unique hairpieces and accessories. The cons are the use of so many decals in the set. Even a mix of printed and decal pieces would have been better. Also, if this were a 2-in-1 build it'd be a spectacular set, though you could create your own design with a little imagination! And I agree with most, the name for the set could have been more "creative"."
"In the beginning I wasn't a fan of the Friends Lego theme. But as the theme progressed I realized the potential for a lot of the colors and parts the theme offers. This set is small but has a lot going for it piece-wise. You get a good range of purple bricks, some transparent pieces, and unique parts like the laptop and all the hair and beauty accessories. My only con to this set is the mirror decal, I have never been a fan of the mirror decals because they become noticeably scratched and worn compared to normal decals. Overall this is a nice set for small children or older fans of lego looking to add some special pieces to their collection."
"For this being my first motorized lego train set, it is truly a great set. It comes with everything you need to get started if you are looking to expand on your train sets. It comes with a remote, receiver, motor, and battery pack. The design of the train itself is sleek and beautiful, exactly why I wanted this set. Although I would have preferred brick build noses for the train's front and back cars, nonetheless the pieces look sharp on the build. Two of the major cons to this set is the use of so many decals, some decals are so small I don't see a reason as to why they couldn't have had them printed. Also (and this is the biggest stickler), the train itself will get caught on the train platform if the platform is placed on the outside of the track. This is a simple fix, just place the platform on the inside. However, for serious builders that want to integrate buildings and such on either side, this may be a problem, as the train does not take tight turns well with the sleek nose-pieces that are provided. Overall I am very happy with this set as my introduction into the train theme, I am excited to expand on it and incorporate it into my lego city!"
"I have been a fan of the medieval/castle themes for ages, so when I seen this I just had to have it! This set has a lot of details in it from the stained glass windows to the flowering vines. I especially love the format of this set with these two towers and a bridge connecting the two. You get a variety of different minifigures in this my favorites are the Queen, King, Knights, and the Princess. Although this castle has the red accents and fits so well with my other castles I would love it if Lego changed it up in terms of color and used more blues or purples or some other color than just the red. Overall though its a really fun set with a lot of possibilities for building and playing!"
"This I bought on a whim simply because I needed to get another item to qualify for free shipping on LEGO.com. I am so glad I got this though! Its a super quick build and i just love the printing on this mini figure. The only issue I had was trying to fit the mini figure in the car just right! Overall, a nice fun set I would totally recommend it to a new little builder or even an advanced lego fan :)"
"I would definitely recommend this for younger builders, its a pretty simple set, it took under 5 minutes to do myself. But the mini figures alone are worth buying this set. You get Harry, of course, and Hagrid and Voldemort characters that we see in a couple of the other HP sets. Narcissa Malfoy, however is exclusive to this set ! For ten bucks its a nice solid little build, and you get 4 mini figures, which is way more than most sets have that are this size :)"
"This set is great in so many ways compared to the past modulars, I swear they keep getting better and better!
Pros - all the mini-builds (the telephone, toilet, aquarium, etc.) - 4 mini figures with nice printing and all the different animals - this set is so colorful!! - lots of different rooms to customize to your liking - its two separate buildings so you can arrange it however you want!
Cons - Some rooms seem a little bare (but theres always things you could add yourself I suppose.)
Notice there's only one con, but its a pretty easy solution, fill the rooms up yourself! :) Overall, its a really fun build and good price for a very awesome set!"
"This review may be similar to many on here but I have to say this is a wonderfully detailed set! There are so many unique building experiences to be had with this modular, the chandelier, the SHOP signage, the escalators, etc. Although it does get a bit repetitive with the second and third floors (the windows especially) I didn't mind it so much because having that repetition gives it a realistic look! Many would argue that the first floor is busy compared to the second and third floors, but I think theres room for builders to add their own shop items if they felt like it, its so versatile! Overall - a great unique building thats worth the price and the time you put into it."
